Batch resize canvas in Photoshop

How to create an action that you can run as a batch for multiple images.

I'm i'm going to show you how to
increase the canvas of multiple images
using photoshop and a batch the first
thing you want to do is you want to
create a fake image new will save 55 x 3
and since my target image I want all my
images to be exactly square 450 so I'm
just going i want to make sure that the
width and the height of my my test image
is less than 450 both click OK and
there's a very narrow image and we're
going to do is we're going to save that
we won't save the hit
that's going to be part of our our
actions so go up to window and you go at
two actions make sure that action window
is open and we're going to accord we're
going to say click on the down arrow new
action and we're going to call her
actions
450 and click on record and it's going
to start recording all of what i'm going
to do this image and what I'm going to
do is I'm going to increase canvassize
both with 450 and high 452 both for 50
and make sure relative is not checked
click OK and now we can see that it is
indeed 450 x 450 but we're not done yet
we go to file save and we are going to
select test that's our test save I like
to select hi
ok and now i'm going to go back over to
my actions window click stop and it has
now
corded resize campus 450 all of those
actions so now what we do
close that we're going to use that
action gotta file automate match and
there's the batch window and we're going
to collect we're going to select a
folder going to choose in my case it's
going to be test and the destination is
saved and closed
that's one of the options and not
someone you want everything that the the
same up to here
click OK and you can see that it's going
to run through all these quickly and
it's now resized all of my target images
and you go back in here you can see it's
450 x 450 450 450 450 x 450 these are
all these were all different sizes
before
mmm they were all at least at at the
most 450 either height or width and now
they're all square 450 x 450 square and
think that was harder than I thought it
was going to be but that's the way you
do it
