How to create and place an interactive calendar on an Excel spreadsheet

An explanation and demonstration on the creation of calendars in Excel 2013, 2010 and 2007. Using the Developer tab.
Note that there are problems with the 64-bit version of MS Office where Microsoft have phased out the Calendar Control

really might be watching jeff had some
hear from united computers
I'd like to show you something that I is
very regularly in my action spreadsheets
that is I like to see a calendar showing
the Karen date or date that I could
change on the calendar subject to my
particular need to do this I first of
all need to see the developer 10 up here
in the tabs above the ribbon if you
don't see the Developer tab and remember
that to put a calendar on you do need to
see the Developer tab if you died
click on file
options then go to customize the ribbon
and over here on the right we need to
make sure there is a tick in the next to
development so once the ticket is there
and you click ok we'll see the
development tab up here just above the
river itself now when i click on the
Developer tab
I now see that there is an insert
command and the controls group i took
the drop arrow there and I want to use
in the activex controls the button in
the bottom right hand corner more
controls and when I click on that it
allows me to choose calendar control
when i click on calendar control to
selected and choose ok i see that my
cursor changes to across here which
means that i can draw a shape on the on
the spreadsheet itself when I release
that shows me the calendar now I also
see that the design mode button is live
here when that's live it means that i
can drag the calendar around and drop it
whoever I wish and I can resize it
should i wish that i can see the
they're all the detailed so today waters
the seventh 2014 has been picked up from
the computer's clock in the bottom
right-hand corner now we're not
positioned the calendar where I wanted
to be I then turn off design mode and
the calendar will stay we place it you
can then use the rest of the spreadsheet
as you need to i always makes sit course
the the calendar doesn't appear over
cells that i am using in my new
spreadsheet quick so there is it's
really quite simple
