This is a tutorial on how to add a Menu Builder menu to a Visual Site Designer website.

hi there my name is steve i'm going to
show you how to export a menu builder
menu into a visual site designer website
as you can see I've already started with
the basic template from visual site
designer i remove the built-in menu that
was here and this is where we're going
to insert our new menu builder built
so I've gone ahead already and created a
new menu and many abilities and I've
decided I'm happy with the way it is and
this is what I'm going to export to my
website so to export it you can click
two things you can go to file export or
you can sit simply select the shortcut
button here expert
we'll open a browser for you then you go
and find your website in my case I've
got my demo website here and select ok
then this beautiful cold pops up here
for you and you just take the top coat
here is for your header the bottom cold
here is for your actual your menu that
you're going to put into the website so
we had copied to clipboard
open up our visual sight and there's two
ways you can get to your header
information in visual site designer you
can either go edit edit header or press
ctrl alt H and your header pops open and
then you can control V for paste and hit
ok go back to the menu builder select
the cold here
dividual site designer and then we'll
add HTML element select the button slept
where you want your menu to appear so
i'll say right around here
and we'll name it
demo menu
I ctrl-v to paste it or you can hit the
little paste button down here and hit OK
and then we will publish the website
I just want to demonstrate to you what
it actually looks like at this point of
the love of the game here so we'll open
up the website and we'll just refresh
you see it's kind of all messed up in
here is just like the plane unordered
list we want to make that into a nice
menu that we just built so the final
step is will open up our direct ftp I've
already programmed my server you'll have
to enter the information for your server
that could be covered in another
tutorial basically what we want to do
now is I'm going to refresh and there's
going to be a file called menu demo
exported in your case will be whatever
you named your menu it's important not
to upload this file to the server if you
upload this file your menu still not
work you need to open up this file and
export up to the server the menu demo
folder within the menu demo export
folder so we'll open that up and i will
upload this to the server now

now we go back to our website and I'm
gonna hit ctrl f5 just to refresh my
page
you can see the menu
exactly the way we did it
it's a little bit off here but that's
only because
the HTML box we can just move up in
visual site designer a little bit and
republish it
back to hear refresh it and there we go
and that is how you add a menu builder
