Note: I highly recommend watching this video in HD (720p) from the settings icon (bottom right of the video screen)
The following video tutorial provides a basic overview on how to use Visual Site Designer by CoffeeCup Website Software.
In this tutorial, we look at how to create a basic homepage using visual site designer. We will also look at how to setup a page and create navigation buttons. CoffeeCup Visual Site Designer is often referred to as WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) this means you don't have to have any knowledge of HTML code, and you can still build an effective tailor designed website.
The video was tailored to my students, however, you may find this useful if you are also learning the basics of this software. My students have previously created sketch designs of how they would like their website to look and I would recommend you carry out the same procedure before creating your website! I also suggested creating a new blank website as this gives you much more freedom to create your own unique designs.
Visual Site Designer is reasonably priced and although it may not compete with the large website software packages, it does help to learn the basic aspects of creating a website.
The software can be downloaded on free trial from:

This video tutorial is to support students during their Advanced Apprenticeship in Social Media, specifically focusing on certain outcomes for City and Guilds - Unit 205 Website Software
Any questions, feel free to ask and I will try to get in touch with you.
