take and today I'm going to be giving
you my view on macx DVD ripper pro macx
DVD ripper pro is a DVD ripper program
developed by disability softer it
currently stands as one of the fastest
easiest and best DVD rippers out there
in my opinion now look at this website
you can see the name macx DVD ripper pro
however there is actually a windows
version so don't let named Mac x take
you wear whatever now the current price
of this is 395 it just went down from
5995 so currently it's a really good
deal you can go ahead and buy it right
now with this blue button or you can go
ahead and try the trial version which is
the green download button now starting
off the program you can see there are a
getting started getting started
instructions now these instructions
really help the program make it a lot
more easier to use and definitely make
things seem a lot more straight for so
this is really appealing to those new
users out there who don't want a lot of
confusion so this really helps them get
know what to get started so as it says
step one you can go ahead and load up
your DVD from whichever way you want i'm
going to do DVD disc or you can do it
from an iso image or maybe a folder
containing deeply content again I'm just
going to go ahead and do DVD disc going
to go ahead and load up my DVD
it may take awhile depending on the DVD
and computer you're using all right now
a new window should pop up here you can
go ahead and choose your output format
profile so there are huge variety of
output profiles that you can choose from
some include pc general video DVD backup
Apple devices that have
like the typo iphone ipad ipod and
android devices microsoft sony are all
that stuff you can even do youtube
facebook and like Vimeo up like those
web videos now when I was special about
the pc general video and i use the
recommended format but I did run into an
issue issue where I got good video but I
got bad audio now I was really confused
why so ask customer support
apparently the main purpose of that
format was to preserve the original
video quality not so much on the audio
quality so that really disappointed me
that I didn't get some kind of warning
or possibly explain what will happen so
like maybe in the future maybe there
could be a pop-up when I hover my mouse
over each tab right here or this right
here and maybe you could say this is
what will happen this is what may happen
what you may a risk doing all that kind
of stuff because really just I I should
know i should know that the video should
be preserved and not so much on the
audio other than facts and pc your video
because typically when i take a video i
think because of good audio and I'm
pretty and i'm pretty sure the average
consumer would think a sort of the same
way but in the meantime what I use I use
the DVD backup
main title content copy and it works out
great and i'm sure all the other format
files do as well so I go ahead and click
on ok now as you can see there are huge
list of towels right here what's nice
you don't have to go through all of them
the program automatically selects the
main movie title and just likes that one
title
don't worry about the rest unless you
want menus add sponsors in your output
file which I'm sure probably most of you
don't want so that's really nice looking
next to these times you can see you got
some audios of audio options you can
change maybe speak French maybe want to
French maybe you speak different English
or something maybe you want that one I
don't know and then you could enable
subtitles so again you speak French when
you want that one
of course I speak English so maybe I
want english subtitles
and then you got a nice edit button
right here are some soon so I go ahead
and click on that now here I'm not going
to pause that movie because of copyright
issues now right here and you are window
pops and gives me a huge will not huge
but me and good variety of options for
me to customize the program looking
right here you can see you could go
ahead and adjust audio volume now the
ranges from 0 all the way
wait all the way up to 21 of course I'm
fine with the original movie are volumes
i'm just going to leave it at that
subtitles I've already worked that I'm
gonna put the position at the bottom and
the extra what it is is basically you
can add your own subtitles in your
another language so if you have like a
whole script out in another in like a
text document whatever you can go ahead
and add that and then you can have that
played throughout the movie and then you
can also crop expand you can crop the
movie to go ahead and get rid of those
HD bars at the top at the top and bottom
or maybe you're watching an old movie
probably going to get rid of the ones on
the side of course they also have some
pre-made ones like 69 ratio for by three
and one by one I'm not going to go ahead
and you scrapped because i'm not very
fun with HD uh bars all that stuff then
over here you got the trim the trim is
really really nice if you want to
capture right like a really cool action
moment like say this guy's killing
another guy you want to catch that
moment whatever so what you could use it
go ahead and drag these are blue drag
these bars and have that highlighted
blue area me the part that you want to
trim course I want the whole movie so
I'm just gonna leave it at that and
again you can also change it right here
numbers actually numbers so you can go
ahead i'm just going to go ahead and
disable d trim and go ahead and click on
done now at the top you also have some
other options going back here to the
rent to the little screwdriver thing the
wrench you can go ahead choose your
output profile yet again now I want to
show you guys something when i go ahead
and do something like iphone video can
see you get a huge variety of options to
basically because customize your output
so maybe you want a different video
codec
apparently i would have mpeg-4 we want a
different frame rates resolution maybe
bitrate all that kind of stuff you can
change but since i'm just doing DVD
backup
apparently it's just this is just what
i'm gonna get so i'm just going ahead go
ahead and click on apply to all and i
can also set tag so all this basically
it's just basic stuff you could set the
target name name artists of music or
whatever genre comments you want to add
all that kind of basic stuff but i'm
just going to leave it out of it as is
for now
all right now moving on to the video
preview area i want to start off right
here is obviously the play button which
I'm not gonna press because of copyright
issues and the pause button and here is
really cool feature the snapshot button
and the snapshot button is really nice
because let's say you're playing the
movie right here in the video preview
area which are probably going to do and
then say you see a really cool action
for this is basically like if you're
careful tog refer then you probably know
what I'm saying because while you're
playing the movie what you could do is
you could multiply this picture icon
multiple times to capture multiple shots
of that action scene going on so if you
like a camera photographer you know it's
probably like that first option that you
have on your camera in front of you all
your pictures you can go ahead and click
on this folder icon which will
automatically take you to the pick the
location of the snapshots now before you
go ahead on the Run button you serve
some other options right here now these
three options are or what affect the
speed of your conversion rate basically
the high-quality engine is really makes
it basically it on it keeps the
high-quality keeps the inequality as
high as possible so both video and audio
which is that I find a pretty use it
pretty useful i don't use it that much
but it's definitely work for sure for
you guys then the interlacing the
installation basically it improves the
video calls maybe have something a bit
fuzzy in the video
maybe you can probably try to fix that
with the interlacing wish I don't I
actually totally recommend using
especially have a bit of fuzzy DVD or
something that you left in the closet or
whatever and a safe phone is basically
well if you're going into any issues
converting and you're ripping the DVD
with using any of these options or just
the default options they make sure you
use safe mode because basically it will
avoid all those errors and just provide
your smooth conversion now using any of
these three options will actually add a
couple of minutes to the conversion
process but it's only a couple of
minutes for a one-hour half movie so
really it's not measure and it's totally
working the men so if you have to use
any of the options
go ahead and use it it's no big deal
trust me now the now what the speed root
of the conversion really depends on
actually is a cpu core use now of course
you have computer you're probably gonna
by default you probably have a deal core
or maybe of a quad-core for me I've in
your course I'm gonna have to core
processors now if you're just gonna go
ahead rip DVD then go to the kitchen and
eat whatever and you're leaving your
computer alone you can I just want to go
ahead and go to a little too max like
for me just I'm just going to go ahead
and use both course but we're going to
be multitasking meaning it's going to be
using the computer at the same time you
probably want to go ahead and go to one
core so you know you get a balance of
the core usage in your computer but this
does actually have a effect on your
performance and yeah so what I'd so what
I do I just recommend using up all you
have and then just leave your computer
alone because it does take time to do
this and it does require a good amount
of computing resources to take care of
the TV ripping process now once you're
all set up you can go ahead and click on
the big blue Run button and then you
window pops up
alright going through here you got the
current title which is being ripped
towel 78 the main actual movie
destination name you got the karate kid
tell sandy MPG will be the name
the output file start time the start
time the movie 000000 all that stuff
that end time you got the end time in
the movie to 2401 now of course if you
trim it may be a bit different now the
duration of the movie again two hours 24
minutes and one second then the current
time basically that has been ripping how
long you've been ripping it
well looks like two minutes well it's
pretty fast so don't worry
then the frames per second it's
exporting at 122 which is pretty high
and then remaining time how much time is
left for you up for the rooting process
to be over about 33 minutes right now
now of course you have some other
options right here you can shut that a
computer when the conversion is complete
which of course i do not recommend
unless you have a really really old
computer you have a slow computer that
just sometimes he needs to freshen up a
bit so i only recommend it at times when
you just have a really slow computer so
just rarely ever use that feature and
then open output folder which i do
recommend because that way you know
where D files going to be and you don't
get lost trying to find in the end
alright so basically that is macx DVD
ripper pro and if you want to stop the
conversion could go ahead and click on
the blue stop button and i also want to
mention that the conversion process is
actually pretty fast for me it took me
about an hour-and-a-half movie
it took me about just 15 to 20 minutes
to convert it was pretty fast i really
enjoy and speed is always measure
especially when you rip DVD iso speed of
this definitely great the quality get
comes in the end really really good and
just as good as the original so just
it's just a worthy softer so in the end
i definitely recommend it to anyone out
there beginning advanced users out there
it just fits for everyone i really
enjoyed it and I would say it's for it's
got to be one of the best DVD rippers
out there so hopefully you guys enjoyed
