Why you need more than the Broken Link Checker WordPress plugin

Do you rely on the Broken Link Checker WordPress plugin to protect your blog from broken links? I recently learned that this plugin is very limited and doesn't, or can't, find all of your broken links. For one thing, it doesn't seem to detect broken links left with CommentLuv comments. It also misses many other links, including certain embedded content.
