How to Download (Export) Your Emails from Windows Live Mail for Hosting Transfer

hey everybody is the key is nice long
again with Orthodox daily online
enterprises today I'm just going to
teach you really quickly how to download
or in other words export all of your
mail from windows live mail to your
local computer the same process really
applies for outlook express or Microsoft
Outlook and thunderbird if you're using
Mac but windows live mail is basically
the new version of outlook if you're
using Windows 7 which is what i'm using
so if you'd like to do that first of all
I'm just on the calendar screen that's
just the intro just want to make sure
you're in your mail so click on mail
down here in the bottom at that point
you're going to click on the toggle down
in the top left corner scroll down hover
over export mail at this point you can
either click on account or email
messages click on email messages and
it's going to ask you the format in
which you want to export to i would go
ahead and just use microsoft windows
live mail if you know that you're going
to be basically uploading them again
into windows live mail so then you would
click Next at that point and then you
would browse to the folder that you
would like in this case I'm just going
to say desktop
but choose any one of your folders click
ok then click Next in the wizard
excuse me I'm getting an error message
for because it has to be an empty
directory so let's go and fix an empty
directory
mhm okay i will say make a new folder
and call it windows live mail
then i would click OK
and now i'm going to click Next and it's
going to ask me what folders do I want
to export i'm just going to leave it is
all and then you click Next and you can
see it starts to process this is going
to take quite a while and i'm not going
to complete the process but this is how
you export all of your mail from windows
live mail and or microsoft outlook or
thunderbird to your computer
this process is really good for when
you're switching hosting accounts and
your mail is being moved from from one
host to another so if you have a
personal email address like info at my
website calm and you own the domain name
and you switched hosting accounts your
your email would actually temporarily go
down so you want to make sure that you
back it up and this is how you do it
