The TAC-2 is a 2-in, 2-out audio interface.
It's a single-knob design that allows for
easy setting of all your parameters. On the
back you'll find two XLR TRS inputs. You can
connect microphones or line level devices.
You'll also find two line outputs for connection
to your monitors. On the front of the unit
you'll find an instrument input, which can
replace Input 1 as a hi-Z input. You'll also
find a headphone output right there on the
front. Thunderbolt is a very cool technology
for audio interfaces. One, it makes for near
zero latency recording, and two, it provides
more power than USB did, so you get better
components in your unit as well as more stable
phantom power. The TAC-2 comes with MixEfx
software. This is a software mixer that allows
you to control all the parameters on the unit,
as well as gives you a couple of effects to
add. You can use the TAC-2 with any Thunderbolt
equipped Mac computer with any DAW. That's
