Convert ANY file to a Vector - Free and Easy Tutorial .JPG .PNG .EPS .GIF

This is a tutorial that shows you how to convert any file ( jpg jpeg png eps gif etc. ) to a vector image. A vector image is an image with traceable outlines. This method is 100% free, simple, and I recommend for everyone trying to perform this task. I hope you find this video useful!

so you have a file it could be in jpg
format it could be in PNG format it
could be in a bitmap format anything and
you want to trace it and create lines
and paths and save it may be in an eps
file format may be in AI file format
regardless you just want to take that
image and create those paths for
whatever reason
so the best way to do it is to use this
program called inkscape it's a free
program i'll include the download links
so you can download the program for pc
or mac those links will be in the video
description and it's so easy it's so
simple and it's one of the best ways
that I've figured out how to get things
traced
so once you download the program you
simply open it and once it's open you
open up the file that you want to trace
so in this case it's soccer ball and so
I open up soccer ball and all i need to
do is select it go to path trace bitmap
and I
excuse me and I can keep these default
settings and all i need to do is hit OK
gives me a little preview
once i hit OK and I see the preview i
can click on this red X and then I can
file save as and I'm going to save as an
eps file format so i click on save
i'm going to make sure that convert text
to pass is checked and then i'm going to
click on OK and then my eps file shows
up here because that's where I saved it
and just to show you what the final
product is i'll open up illustrator and
i will open up the newly traced file and
there we have it that is fully traced it
doesn't get any better than that
