How To Retrieve OEM Windows Product Key From BIOS

If your laptop or desktop came pre installed with Windows 8.1 or 10 then you can retrieve the product key from the Bios.

hello guys today i'm going to be showing
you how to retrieve your OEM product key
from the bios now if your laptop and
your computer came with windows 8.1 or
Windows 10 pre-installed then most
likely it will have the product key in
the bios now this is most common for
laptops i'm not sure about desktops but
I know for sure
laptops now if you have to know the
addition that comes with the laptop from
om because that key will only work on
that edition
alright so first let's get a program
called read write everything
the link will be in the description but
right now i'm going to use gold
alright w everything and we can just hit
the download button that we don't need
to really install it as a regular
program so I'm just going to download
the 64 bit portable version
my computer is 64-bit so i want to
download the 64 bit if your computer's
the little bit then you use one of these
additions on the left side of the screen
I want to click that blue link it should
download the program into your downloads
folder go ahead and unzip it
well with me I just double click and
drag the contents of it to the desktop
right then we run this RW program here
now what you want to press on the top
here is AC P I that will generate a list
below give it a few seconds
you should have your acpi table here now
in that window that populates at the
bottom you should see a tab that says ms
DM go ahead and click that and your
product key is here this is the OEM
product key now of course i'm going to
point this out so you won't see it but
the places where i blanked out that is
where your product key will be in my
case you see is asus notebook come on
and pre installed Windows 10
I won't tell you the the windows version
that was pre-installed coming from the
manufacturer but it will show you the
product key so it's up to you to find
out the only own version of windows that
was installed and then you get the
correct install media from microsoft.com
and you use that product key when you're
installing and you should be good to go
