Breathing space - with Navigating the pacific by stars wind and waves Tune Smithy

The animation is a Lissajous figure taken into 3D and transformed in Lissajous 3D. The music is a Tune Smithy fractal tune.

I was inspired by stories of the Pacific navigators navigating hundreds and thousands of miles through knowledge of the stars, the patterns of the wind and the waves - with their "maps" of the wind and wave patterns around the islands.

The tuning used is listed as "Observed south Pacific pentatonic xylophone tuning" in the SCALA scales archive

(That tuning uses the SCALA convention where any number with a decimal point is in cents so e.g. 685.0 means 685 cents above the reference pitch the 1/1 or about 6.85 equal tempered semitones since there are 100 cents to a semitone).

Here I'm trying to evoke the feeling in the music of someone way out at sea in the Pacific navigating using one of those maps, watching and feeling the wave patterns and other signs
