FL Studio - Turn Your Typing Keyboard Into a Drum Machine

How to use FL Studio's FPC as a drum machine on your typing keyboard.

whats up guys today we're going to go
over how to turn your regular typing
keyboard into a drum machine this is
great for sampling as well so what you
want to do is go over to your channels
you want to go down to FPC and as you
can see it opens a little drum pad here
for you you want to do you drop down
menu go to preset and set this to empty
and what that does is just empties out
all the sounds so you can assign your
own sounds to the drum pads and you can
come over to pax and just kind of load
whatever you want one to each pad we're
gonna load this one is a hi-hat ok you
want to go over here to midi note and
click on that and you want to hit learn
click the learn and then after you hit
learn you want to hit a key on your
keyboard that you want to assign it to
test it out the a button and it doesn't
work so we're just gonna move over to s
and so now that sound has been assigned
to the esky another important thing you
want to do is for the cut over here you
want to set this to 12 and as well as
cut by you also want to set that to 12
and what that does is keeps the sound
from running into each other it just
cuts it off every time you hit it it's
not very important it is important when
you're doing sampling because example
will keep plan and plan over top of
itself so you want to set that to avoid
that from happening
alright and then we're going to do
another sound single clap we're going to
drag that to the second pad and once
again we're gonna go over to midi note
it learn and we're going to sign that
pad 2d so now when you hit your deaky
you get a clap s get your head high hat
clap and you keep doing that so on and
so forth until you fill up a to put all
the sounds in it that you need then when
you're ready to use the FPC what you can
do is just hit your record button
we're going to do an automation and
score and play and stop and there you
have your cell and that's how you turn
your typing keyboard into a drunk it
