I frequently receive questions about using the ART scope for known distance and unknown distance targets. In this video, Conrad and I engage targets using scenarios of both known and unknown distance by using the range indicator on the zoom ring and by "framing" the target with the reticle.

I use the F.A.S.T. (Frame-Aim-Shoot-Technique) with the scope to show that you do not have to know the distance to your target to engage it within seconds. I will jump back and forth between to targets at variable ranges, and without looking at the range indicator, I will frame the targets and successfully engage them (i.e. hit the target) without having to know the distance before I squeeze the trigger.

I will also post a video soon on how to "customize" your cam setting.

hey okay so you saw in Conrad's example
he knew what the distance was calling it
out for 25 to 75 so then he was able to
validate it so if you hadn't have a
spotter if you hadn't in a team and you
have the ability for someone have a
laser rangefinder and validate the range
you can use the cam to automatically
goes rates so let's say now we're going
to do it where I'm not going to look at
the camp I'm gonna frame frame will take
a little bit of practice you get used to
the thickness of the crosshairs and
being able to get that a good frame to
hit but so much fighting games these
targets successfully without looking at
the camp and simply using the framing so
let's see how this works

nice sweet so in that situation I was
going back and forth back and forth you
notice i kept my hand on the cam the
entire time i did not use the 10th power
option I can disengage and then zoom
into 10 power
I'm gonna do one with that as well so
you can see it a little bit of time
bye-bye having to do that and zoom it
but i was able to successfully engage
the targets back and forth back and
forth without looking at the camp and
simply using the the framing mechanism
so let's do one more with the what where
I'm going to use the manual mode or
basically use the cam to frame the
target or if I had a spotter telling me
the known distance then i can zoom back
and forth using this and and how to do
it so the trick is real quick
it has to be coupled so notice here how
I've got the other couple there that
allows you to actually turn the camming
system now when I disengage i can just
pull it back towards me and then use the
zoom ring independently of the camp so
that's what I'm going to do on this next
one I'm gonna I'll friend the target and
then i will disengage and use the soup

a little bit of time but the options
there have been able to either use it
with the camera and the zoomerang slave
to each other or you can use them
independently let's say I knew out what
distance i was shooting at if I wanted
to tighten down make sure i didn't
accidentally moved the cam when i was
playing with the zoom ring i can use the
locking screw codename Bolin screw but
you can knock down this does the the
locking screw here which like the cam
and that way it won't accidentally or
inadvertently twist when you're
disengaging the camera but obviously I
didn't do that i was trying to to go for
a little bit of speed there but again
the value of the cam the value of the
framing system you don't have to use
math we've got the no math mill . in
here so your friend that 18 inches you
can look at the top of the scope and
will tell you what the range is so a lot
