hey it's Ryan here with lyrics 1.4 this
new version is now available for both
Mac and Windows and today I want to
demonstrate for you really quickly how
the new partytime karaoke subscription
service works from directly inside the
lyrics browser so first off you're gonna
need to create an account party time
permits a 7-day free trial before your
first billing month after the seven day
free trial you're gonna be billed at $99
a month for the duration of your
subscription what does that provide you
well party time is one of the leading
manufacturers of karaoke content here in
the United States what you're going to
get right away as of today is a little
over 16,000 hd-quality karaoke songs
they use a encrypted mp4 type format the
songs can be streamed while you're
connected so if you've got an internet
connection you can search load and
stream the songs if you want you can
download the entire catalogue for
offline playback so you can take lyrics
and your computer to a venue an event
where you do not have internet access
and you can use the entire catalogue so
you actually have a method to
downloading the entire catalogue for
offline playback which I'll show you
here in a in a second so first off
you're going to want to locate the party
time karaoke logo on the left hand side
of the lyrics browser it's gonna say
right click to log in so you're gonna
right-click and you're gonna lose choose
to log in it's gonna bring up a little
pop-up menu that's going to ask for your
login credentials obviously you do not
have an account yet so you're gonna
click the little button here that says
create an account or create account this
is gonna bring up a window where you can
put in your name your password your
company name now if you don't have a
company name or a company business ID or
office name you can put the same thing
in all three fields so you can just put
your DJ name or whatever you want the
system will need something in those
fields in order to create the account
however so just remember to put
something in there so all this other
stuff here of course is self-explanatory
so after you put in all your credential
you're just gonna click create and since
I already have a subscription I'm just
gonna go ahead and log in real quick and
as you see as soon as I log in it'll say
connected now one little tip here
sometimes when people initially
subscribe to party time they may see
expired next to the party time logo if
you run into that simply restart lyrics
and it will say connected after a
restart so I'm gonna show you one other
thing here we're gonna go back to
account details and you can see my
account credentials there I'm going to
click the subscriptions button because
this is what you would see now after you
create your account you put in your name
your email your business name your
address and all that stuff it asks for
you're gonna see a subscriptions button
at the bottom of the account tab when I
click that it's going to show you a
couple options now since I have an
active subscription it's not going to
show both of those for me right now but
what you would see are two options the
first would be this one which says
$99.99 a month party time karaoke Pro
subscription monthly charge you get the
first week free that's seven days free
and then you're going to be billed so
that'll be one of the options you will
see an additional option directly below
it that will say party time karaoke
subscription 48-hour pass so you can get
a 48-hour pass and that one's 39.99 so
if you just want to use the system for
one event you can just do a one-off
subscription so after you click on the
subscription all you'll have to do is
click activate new subscription that's
gonna bring up a box then ask for your
credit card credentials you go ahead and
put those in hit save and it's gonna say
account activated so then you'll have
access it should say connected right
next to the party time karaoke logo here
if it does not once again just restart
lyrics and you will see that so as soon
as that's done right and it says
connected this the software will
download a list of all available tracks
and as I said right now we're looking at
near 16,000 hd-quality karaoke songs
these are all unique songs there's no
duplicates in here
and you know they're very current we've
been very impressed with party times
ability to release new songs on time and
keep the library fresh to keep your
singers happy right with the selection
so now that we've got the list of songs
in front of us we have the option to
simply load and stream so I can load the
track to a deck it's gonna stream it now
one thing that's kind of unique about
how lyrics buffer songs is that it will
actually buffer or cache the entire
track to memory before it's played what
does this mean it means that if for
whatever reason if you get a hiccup in
internet connection the song will play
out it'll play the duration of song it
won't skip or stutter or choke because
there's not enough bandwidth so it'll
play out so we did that on purpose just
to ensure a better quality playback and
better stability so that's one way right
now I'll show you real quick if I reload
that song because it is currently cached
it'll load instantly right it'll load
and be ready to play so I can play it
it'll display the words to avoid any
kind of copyright issues on youtube ok
as you can see it'll play the track in
its entirety the lyrics look really good
and crisp even on a very large display
again these files are in HD quality so
that's one thing you can stream the
songs and as I said earlier you can
actually download the tracks for offline
playback to do that you can simply
right-click on a single track and you'll
see an option to download to offline
tracks and when I do that you'll see
that this little cloud icon that
indicates it's in the cloud will quickly
change from the cloud to a checkmark
that indicates the track is already on
your hard drive ready to be played so as
you can see I've already downloaded a
few now I just downloaded one if I want
to do them all I can simply select the
top track in the list go to the bottom
of the list hold down shift and click
the last song and it will highlight
everything upwards now that every song
is highlighted you do the same thing you
right-click on any one of the
highlighted tracks
so like download to offline tracks and
lyrics is going to start retrieving all
the songs on average it takes people
maybe 8 hours or so depending on your
bandwidth your internet connection speed
to get everything downloaded and then
you can of course take it to a gig and
perform with all those songs and one
other tip in that regard is that you do
not want to log out of the party time
subscription so once you've created an
account logged in whether you're going
to be online or offline just stay logged
in the software will say or rather the
next to the party time logo instead of
staying connected it will say offline
but that still means you'll be able to
play those tracks that you've downloaded
for offline playback so that's really
all there is to it you know these tracks
act like any other karaoke songs that
you would have in your own library and
of course if you have your own music
when you use the search feature in
lyrics it's going to search your own
karaoke library as well as the party
time karaoke subscription songs so I

latest and greatest karaoke software for
