Hi, I'm Ben from Cambridge Audio, and I'm
here at Crutchfield to talk to you about the
DacMagic 100. So, the DacMagic 100 is the
newest member of our DacMagic family, and
it does exactly what it says on the tin. It's
a pure simple digital-to-analog converter.
It uses the very latest Wolfson Dac, and it
has three traditional digital inputs on there.
So we've got two S/PDIF inputs and one Toslink
digital input on there also. But perhaps most
importantly, we have an asynchronous USB audio
input on the back there. Now this will act
as a really high-quality sound card and bypass
that internal sound card in your Mac or your
PC and give you the best possible sound quality
from your computer. So by connecting this
to my computer, I can output up to 24-bit/192kHz
files natively from my computer to give me
the best possible sound.
