Adafruit has created an Arduino shield and breakout board for Texas Instruments' CC3000 WiFi module which provide voltage regulation and level shifting. Both communicate via SPI enabling end user clock speed adjustment. The FCC certified shield and breakout board contain a reset button and microSD socket for ease of use. Adafruit has created both an Arduino shield
and a breakout board for Texas Instrument's
CC3000 WiFi module, another product in their
HUZZAH line. Both shield and breakout board
provide voltage regulation and level shifting
to simplify the interface with their base
boards. They both also communicate via SPI,
allowing the end user to set the clock speed
that makes the most sense for the project.
The shield also includes a reset button as
well as a microSD socket for even greater
flexibility and ease of use. While the overall
products that use these will need to be validated
with the FCC, both WiFi modules themselves
are already FCC certified.
