hello YouTube i'm going to show you how
to secure documents on windows XP
this is really simple and i love this
because if you have a document that has
all your own personal information like
passwords or your social security number
or the have any stocks you have and all
that information and it's all open so if
someone gets in your computer hacks it
or steals it
they won't be able to get those files
that easily
so what you do is first get your file
I haven't made the file it I should have
but i'll just open up Microsoft Word
and i'll just write tests for the
purpose and i'll save it onto the
desktop
however you can save it wherever you
want
yeah so I'll go to file and then save
and
desktop
as test save
I connects up
and here it is
so what you do is right click on the
icon go to send to
and then click compressed zipped folder
so click that and then you should see a
new icon on your desktop or wherever you
saved the original file you can now
delete that file the first file that you
had not the zipped compressed folder now
you can open the folder and as you can
see I can reach the document just by
double clicking it and it will open
microsoft word
and you can see the information on it so
i can X out now what we do is go to file
add a password
whatever password you want to arm type
you want to type it twice one on
password and once you confirm the
password then click OK
it will take some time
it'll be fresh
and once you open the folder again
and then
the file it will tell you password
needed type in the password click OK
and Microsoft Word will open
with the information
that's how you
can keep files on your computer safe and
secure from hackers
