How to Upgrade RAM for Free (Windows 8/7/Vista/XP)

In this tutorial I show you guys how to upgrade your RAM on your computer for free!
People pay over $100 to upgrade their RAM to get better performance, but didn't know their is a completely free and legal way to add RAM to their computer with no downloads! This is a great way to make your computer faster and boost performance

back for another tutorial and in this
tutorial I'm going to be showing you
guys how to upgrade the amount of RAM
you have on your computer for completely
free
this is completely legal actually
microsoft allows you to do this requires
no down most nothing from the internet
you can do this all you know if you have
no internet you can do this
so this is basically upgrade your ram so
whether it's for maybe if you only have
like one gig of ram you know and you
want to do more multitasking and you
want to upgrade the round for gaming or
for video editing and maybe you just
want to boost it up a bit maybe two or
three gigs or four gates so this is what
this video is for
so basically what this does is it takes
actual some memory from your actual hard
drive storage space and it actually
turns it into memory which is which it
uses for RAM and that kind of adds on to
the amount of RAM which you already have
um that's what that does so it's
actually called virtual ram it works
exactly the same as physical around
inside the computer
so what you want to do first is this
will work for windows XP windows 7
windows vista and i'm assuming windows
they even though i'm not i'm really
confirmed that the way the menus will
look will be different but you will be
fairly similar
so if you're on Windows 7 you want to
right click and go to properties and i'm
pretty sure dancing this step
windows XP so I think it's a slightly
different so once you're over here you
want to know the amount of RAM you have
so i have six gigs of ram right now
which is actually in my computer so this
is the amount around which i had when i
bought the computer
so what you want to do now is go to go
to advanced system settings and over
here you
you want to go under advanced even
though it should probably automatically
send you there
don't have three little areas year's
performance to use that profile to start
a start-up and Capri and but but what
you want to focus on this performance
and underperformance you want to click
on settings and there you want to go to
the Advanced tab
and over heels it's a virtual number of
patients files an area on the hard disk
that windows uses as it were ram total
paging file size for all drives and
that's 1 i've put so you want to go to
change and over here are automatically
managing file size for all your drivers
probably checked you want to uncheck
that and also click on custom size then
you can change this so once again if you
remember to note this ramp up here you
if you forgot you can usually just
checked back and you want to open up the
calculator you can do it without a
calculator but you know it's a lot
easier with a calculator and 1024
megabytes is one gigabyte and i'll be
standing here goes with megabytes so
what you want to do is multiply that by
the amount of ram you already have on
your computer so your physical ram
installed memory so - 6:00 wanna
multiply that by six 6144 what you want
to do after that is multiply that number
by 1.5 and that will give you 9216 for
me
for you it will probably be a different
number depending on the amount of ram
chip
so what you want to do then is insert
the number of here I've put it
oh yeah because when i did mine i
actually use useful around but you can
do it with your normal around
I don't know why to death but doesn't
matter so basically what you want to do
is you want to put that number in here
in initial size and maximum size and
then after that you want to click on set
and then all show up here want to chose
up over there you want to click OK and
then you want to hit apply for me to
control because that already had their
eye on it apply and then ok
apply and then ok for most of you
probably already have apply selected on
this window we wanted applying the no
cave doesn't and then that's pretty much
it for the tutorial and if you want to
see how much ram you already have the
diamond drama to have now what we'll do
is not dog 216 you want to divide that
by 1024
and now i actually have nine gigs of ram
so I did for love not war three gigs of
ram onto my computer so it's pretty
helpful if you want to boost the
performance of your computer so most
likely up
upgrade three gigs of ram so it's it's
pretty nice
so it's really helpful oh and one after
you do this it will probably ask you to
restart your computer and you're gonna
have to restart it for the thing to
actually come into place now will not
show up over here because it will
overhear always show up the actual
around because this is this is installed
memory inside your actual computers not
came on around you actually have its
them is the ram the ram thing installed
into the actual computer
virtual ram is basically all the ram
which is what your computer is actually
using so
or in my case it would be nine and for
you it's probably going to be a bit
different but depending on the amount of
ram chip but yeah that's pretty much it
