GoPro + Lionel Train + Macro Filter = Ant Man! Shooting extreme closeups with WonderPana GO

What happens when you strap a GoPro, WonderPana GO filter mount and macro filter onto a Lionel train? This week we wondered if we could replicate the Ant-Man macro train scene with a GoPro, so we set to work. After only a few minutes of setup, we were able to clearly capture our toy train in motion from only a couple of inches away.

yep we've been working on the railroad
all the livelong day and that's actually
true
I'm bohus for fotodiox pro and go to
gear com actually working on a tiny
railroad we've got inspired by the
trailer for ant-man this is one of the
many Marvel movies where the hero can do
stuff and save the universe but what
makes this guy interesting is he shrinks
down so even the trailer has a bunch of
macro photography in it and we love
macrophotography here at go tough in
fact we let you do macros with the GoPro
camera which is kinda weird you think
this is an action cam to get all the
action but by adding a wonder pantego
filter mount and one of our macro
filters
this is a plus-10 you're able to shoot
really close up this guy get you two
inches away from the lens and so we we
sort of joined together a bunch of our
little arms are extender arms we mounted
this underway lionel train to see could
we could we get the detail of a a model
to choose piston rods go
this is just an experiment don't expect
multimillion-dollar effects which is
basically did this at the end of the
shooting day to see if we can pull it
off and wow cool in just a few minutes
we were able to create something like
the ant-man effect with the GoPro camera
with a little more time and you know
another 15 16 million dollars we could
have created a beautiful effect but
really the point is that you can put
this GoPro where cameras don't normally
go and now you can get close-ups to if
you take a look at our rig it might look
unusual you'll see that there are two
GoPros we're using the second go pro as
dead weight to offset the effects of
this GoPro was just gonna sit
other than that you can pretty much see
