hey guys it's nick see I am really
excited i'm going to put a new spin on
my linux segment a lot of people have
been asking me to go out there and find
the best video editing software in linux
because there's no point talking about
linux if I can't edit my videos and
recorded linux right so I found
something that that I would say that
windows counterpart would be sony vegas
pro and that's saying a lot
so the free open-source counterpart for
linux is called kayden life
hey and the upper right i am also known
as your preview box you're actually
watching you right now as i am editing
this very video and recording it so you
can see all the basic commands i'm going
to show you the bare-bones on how you
can make a video engaged in life now the
very first thing we'll need is some
media so we can edit it now what we'll
do here is will go to the project tree
tab which is the left and click on it
and then we can either right click and
add clip or we can drag and drop the
files that you want we can drag and drop
that into the timeline below now you'll
notice that the previous clip had a
little bit of access and if at any time
you want to trim your video you can do
so easily by right-clicking on the
section that you want to trim and select
cut clip
have a few Clips here and i want to add
a transition to make things look more
seamless i can do that really easily by
going to the bottom right of the clip
you'll see that there's a green arrow
click on it and then you can select
which transition you want at the upper
left one cool thing i found as you can
move the video clips wherever you want
up and down the tracks or just back and
forth and another really awesome thing
is you can apply effects audio and video
effects and you can do so by
right-clicking on the clip in question
and add effects and look I'm in
black-and-white the good ol days and one
final step before your basic kdenlive
tutorials complete titles you can do
that by going to again to the project
tree tab and right-clicking and add
title this is the result of your
completed title and now you have wrapped
everything up basically need your video
and you're ready to render it so go
ahead and click render the red button
and then just like whatever options
you did it
