hey everybody this is jeff with pc
repair anywhere . com and i've got
another quick tip for you
today I'm going to show you how to clean
your computer's registry
now this quick tip is very easy and very
short and that's for a reason
we only recommend one method for
cleaning your computer's registry and
that's by using see cleaners or registry
cleaner function
there are many many different programs
out there that are labeled with your
registry cleaners but the majority of
them actually do more harm than good
and ccleaner is the only one that we
found to be safe enough for general use
now clean your registry is not
guaranteed to make your computer run
faster but it's a good idea to keep your
registry clean so that problems don't
build up
you can keep it a part of your general
maintenance now this quick tip assumes
that you already have ccleaner installed
if you don't you can watch our previous
video on how to use ccleaner or check
out the link in the description so let's
go ahead and open ccleaner
all right we'll click on the registry
tab
and we're going to click on scan for
issues
when it's done you'll see a decent size
list of issues
over here
so we're going to click fix selected
issues
and it asks us if we'd like to back up
changes to the registry and we're going
to say yes
pick up a decent
place to save this file / meeting your
documents would be
could save
gone
selected issues and watch you go
and there it is
very easy so how often should you clean
your registry
well this process is actually not needed
that often so we recommend doing about
once or twice a year
