exacqVision IP Video Surveillance - Multi-Monitor

A demonstration of the multiple monitor capability of exacqVision IP video surveillance software and systems. Included are features in the 2.8 release, including drang-and-drop videos from one monitor to another.

hi I'm Dan written vice president of
engineering technologies today we're
going to do a demonstration show how to
effectively use multiple instances of
the exact vision client if you're
running one or multiple monitors I've
got a pc here off to the left that has a
multiple monitor video card in it that
looks kinda like this so I'm able to
drive up to four monitors from one pc
starting off we have the exact same
client running here and explain three
videos on the client simultaneously we
have this additional toolbar up here
that shows up when you're in widescreen
mind once you get up to 30 videos
simultaneously on a monitor even running
in single monitor mode we can still do
multiple things with the clients on one
monitor for example we can put one of
these multiple windows into event
monitoring mode that monitoring mode is
may be familiar with the window on the
client will react to events on a server
such as motion detection as you can see
here we've got it set up to detect
motion on cameras and switch this window
to the camera that has detected motion
in addition to even monitoring mode we
can open up multiple exactly play
windows so there's Jim
through which happened a couple minutes
couple seconds ago as you saw on the
monitoring mode here is walking through
the hallway now when we go to to monitor
mode we can do things on our main
monitor such as the search function so I
can kick out the search here and on the
other monitor we can be watching a live
video mode now to get a a good lie video
mode you can do things like hit the f4
key to remove the tree on the left the
f8 key to remove the toolbar at the top
and then hit the f11 key to go
fullscreen this case your live window
will show over the entire monitor and
won't look like a Windows application
while this is going in live mode on the
left-hand monitor we can do a search on
on the right-hand minor what would nice
new features in be 2.8 release is that
we can take cameras from one monitor
from one instance of the application and
drag them into the other monitor that
way if you don't have a tree on on this
monitor you're still able to control
which cameras you're viewing it works is
I just demonstrated dragon from the
video or we can go from the tree in this
and drag it in your way allows you to
control your your life screen without
doing that
hello there i'm not going to go into for
monitor mode in this mode I can have
search going in one screen this is a
multi window search as you can see going
on one monitor this monitor
I've got the main window in that
monitoring mode which we talked about
before and five windows around the side
are showing the cameras that are
actually in the monitoring note see Jim
walking in there and there is now my big
monitors up top are going to be in 6 x 5
mode so now i have 60 unique cameras
being displayed up at the top even on
these live screens i can do exactly play
I've got now got five clients that are
open simultaneously we can do a true
video wall where we can put all four
clients displaying in full screen mode
so with no no trees were displaying 220
unique videos
conversely we can go all the way to the
other end of the spectrum where you put
it
yeah
a 3 megapixel camera and we can drag
that camera
over the full extent of the wall so
we're not displaying a 3 megapixel
camera and effectively a 2000 x 4000
pixels desktop
