How to stamp the filename of a PDF to itself, or many PDFs in a batch process
Check out my latest video on this program's new and old features: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HivH8cNQRDY
This program can be found at http://www.saintjohnny.com
I created this in C#, and you can check out my source code if you want to make sure you know how it works, but i'm not claiming to be an expert programmer, or even a good one, so go easy on me there!
One benefit to labeling PDFs this way is that the text is not part of the "footer" function in adobe, that way if you combine multiple PDFs that you stamped into a single PDF, the stamp will stay intact in it's original text for each slide, whereas if you used the adobe footer function, you can only really have one footer for the entire document, so your stamps would be lost.
If you are wondering why it would be useful to have the filename on a PDF, this program may not be for you, but one of the many reasons would be if for your job you are dealing with a lot of floor plans that don't have labels on them for example, but the filenames were correct such as "Floor 1.PDF" then you could stamp all the files before printing them, and you'd have an indicator of what each floor was based on the stamp. This also applies to when you combine multiple PDFs into one PDF and would then no longer have the filename to rely on.
Let me know if this program helped you out, or if you would like to see other features. Thanks for watching!
Edit: on the latest version (not shown here) I've added wordwrap, true 45° angle transparent watermark, page numbering, and top/bottom and right/center/left options for text.

it was going on youtubers so if you're
watching this video like me you're
probably trying to find a way to stamp
the filename of pdfs directly to the PDF
in a bachelorette process on you maybe
find a workaround with a script or
something in Adobe that might do
individual files but wont batch process
a lot of them store i said i would make
this program on are you to do is fired
up
click and highlight the PDFs that you
want to stamp move over drag-and-drop
program will stamp them all that will
create a little label pdfs folder in the
same directory as your PDF so you go
right in there and like this one for one
copy then you can see here at the bottom
there for one copy
it's kind of small the video sample
Cindy oh so you want to make it a little
bigger and maybe make it red
so it's more visible same deal
click and drag and drop it will
overwrite all the files that you
previously his pad in there it will not
change the original files though just in
case you screw up so floor one copyright
there another one just basic samples i
chose here and if you want to do
something more creative like maybe
change the coordinates over 15 maybe 45
degree angle you can do the same deal
and create almost like a watermark take
things slow and committed see maybe i'll
make that like a 50 make it a noxious
so that's pretty much it this program is
free on you can get it at st. John
ecomme made it myself
let me know what you think of it give me
feedback i guess that's all thanks guys
take care
