If you've ever tried to copy a TV series DVD to your computer, you know how hard it is to get it split into individual episodes. This video aims to make that task a lot easier.

past have shown you how to rip dvds to
your computer for the purpose of backing
up backing up right but what if you have
a TV series DVD that's made up of a
bunch of different episodes it probably
want to split up these different
episodes right well here's the simplest
way to do it
this is going to be a two-part process
first we'll need to find a way to bypass
the Concord protection and make a copy
of the DVD to our computer then we'll
need to run a program that separates the
DVD in two episodes for the first part
will be using a free version of dvdfab
found here I've used before
previous videos and still the best
program for bypassing copy protection
once you have it installed and running
insert your DVD disc with output type
send it to a DVD folder make sure full
disk is selected and then click start
while it's converting make note of the
folder that it's being copy to the speed
of the copying depends on how fast your
computer is and when it's through copy
over any remaining dvds in the set now
if you look in the destination folder
that everything was copy to you should
see a folder for each DVD disc and the
next step is to separate out all the
episodes for this we need a free program
called handbrake which can be found at
this website when you have handbrake up
and running you can choose from a list
of presets for conversion from the
right-hand man
you i'm just going to use the normal
settings for this project
now click on source DVD folder and
choose the first DVD folder that we
copied over next click on the title
dropdown menu and choose an episode you
can tell which numbers are episodes
because the time duration should match
the episode length now you can change
the filename to whatever you want and
hit add to queue then go in and select
another episode and add it to the queue
as well repeat this for the rest of the
dvds in the set and once you have all of
them in the queue
click start now just go and find
something else to do because it could be
awhile before everything's done now you
should have each episode ripped your
computer is individual video if you have
