How to make and submit a sitemap in Wordpress. Using Better Wordpress XML SItemap generator this video shows you how to create and submit your sitemap to Google's webmaster tools.
This wordpress plugin will also submit to Yahoo and Bing automatically anytime you make an update to your Wordpress based site.

and that plugin is called better word
press Google XML sitemaps
to do that we're going to click on this
added new button here on the plugins
page
when we do that it provides us with a
search box
and the search term it we're going to
use is this one
BWP Google
XML and there's a text down information

search plugins the reason is that

active a plugin we're going to go ahead
and activate the plugin
and it's going to take just a second to
activate that for us
and now what we can see is that
its actually activated its three here
and over here on the left you can see
it's created another administrative
drop down box for us so if we click this
little drop down arrow
we can see there's two entries one is
site map statistics and one is safe map
generator
we're gonna click on site maps generator
and that's going to take us to some
configuration
variables that we can set up most these
you can leave it as default
am a couple of them that you're gonna
wanna make sure are
checked though aren't like this date
archive site map
am this all of these boxes are checked
pretty much all the boxes are checked
just run through make sure that each
other boxes are checked
that's really all you have to do to make
sure that it's ready to go
and hit save changes at the bottom
even though I didn't change anything
it's nice to hit Save Changes
sometimes the they're not fully
activated in less you hit a
a saver activate beyond the one that you
clicked in the plugin section
so now that this is activated and we're
going to go over to the webmaster tools
and we are going to submit
are site map to
Google so what we're gonna do here
is I have a list of all the websites
that I have am
site maps for or at least the first 10
or so
and we're going to submit the one that I
have here for
this installation so that URL happens to
be
this right here am I installed
and demonstration version have
the parking for profits a to make these
videos
in this directory so what you're gonna
wanna do is just put
year's Pro you look more like this where
it's just your domain doc com
am that's where your site map is gonna
be located but since I
added word press Install in a
subdirectory I have to add this to it
so and you can put just your website
address in that field and hit continue
so it'll bring you to sort of the
details page
like this and what we want to do from
here is actually submit the URL
love our site map so we're gonna go to
site configuration
and then to site maps
and we're going to click this button ray
here that says submit
a site map and you're really gonna do
this meet the URL
love the site map and so yours is going
to say just
your domain dot com here this again is
the subdirectory that I and sold mine
into
but all you need to do is input this one
nothing
and again news a text in the information
I love this YouTube video on my channel
where you can just copy and paste but
all you need to type in here is say
map index data XML and hit submit site
map
and that is the site map that is
generated by the plugin we just
installed
and that's where it's located and now
Google will be able to go
and ski and that file this site map
indexed at XML and find all your pages
the great thing about this particular
plugin is that every time you create a
post
it goes in updates this XML file so that
the next time we will cross
state it'll see each of the additional
URL's that are a part of it and you can
see that my site map
XML file already has 66 URL's in it
am that's how many are submitted in on
that site map that's generated by the
plugin that we created
so that's it that's all you have to do
and the plugin does the restive it for
you all by itself you don't have to
recreate site maps on a regular basis
you don't have to add any special code
to your posts
the plugin does it all for you so I hope
