hi Steve had some requests to automate
the scripting of uploading files to an
ftp server so that's what I'm going to
demo in this video so right here i've
downloaded winscp from www.zpp dotnet
and i'm going to log into my server here
somewhere login and the server that it's
connecting to that you see here is this
server right here
so this is the director i'm going to log
into now if i go to my client where
download winscp make sure to copy this
fingerprint so i'm going to copy the key
and you'll need that for the script so
if i open up the script here you'll see
and i pasted the fingerprint make sure
you have that fingerprint ready by
copying that key in that prompt and I'll
have this script available via the
description area of this video
now i'm gonna login
and you'll see
the remote directory here so this
directory source i double-click has six
files 1000 1000 1234 1205 and that's the
files here
and i'm going to double-click on my
script
so this script here basically calls this
command synchronize remote
from this directory to this target
directory on the SFTP server which is
the target directory here
and my local directory
is this directory right here so this
directory has files 2002 2005 while the
Roman directory does not
i'm going to double-click my script here
to synchronize that
and you'll see
it's synchronizing remotely
and you'll see it's copying or uploading
2000 texts 2001 all the way through 2005
dot txt
and if i refresh my directory here
you'll see the files are uploaded and
I go back to my server the files are
right here so that's how you would
synchronize or a sink the uploading of a
local directory to a remote server
through via the SFTP use them when SCP
dotnet and in my other videos i'll do
the bi-directional
demo and also the local demo and the
