Hex editing Tutorial

This video will show you the basics of hex editing.

the first thing you'll need is a hex
editing program if you do not have one
positive video check out my video

to download install now let's get
started with the tutorial part now that
you have the hex editor assault so open
up the program once it's done installing
and it should look like this
you don't see anything right now but
that's because you haven't opened it up
with the program yet but we'll do that
here in a minute
so the first thing we're going to do is
make a test file so make a new text
document named test dot txt
open it up and type it
this is changeable
index
too lazy to check my spelling so I
spelled it wrong then
yeah okay so here's what we're gonna do
we're going to change it to something
else
right click on it click Edit with hex
editor do i'm sure you've never seen
that feature before you tell you
installed it but it's a special feature
you can do is about any program
using tech center okay so it says you'll
notice this is changeable in hex editing
ok and you'll see all this coating down
here just don't worry about it just
worried about what's over here sort of
change it to this has been changed by x
we're going to save it
would you do file save your control s
exit out
double-click on it
it says this has been changed by heck
said
now it's no big deal with the text file
because you can just change it normally
but now i'm gonna show you
with this program you're gonna see it's
a fake password finder
I don't want you guys to freak out it's
not a real password finder it supposedly
for clubpenguin but it's not i just got
it because it's a good example for hex
editor new case one just to show you i'm
going to double-click on it
this program is a product programmer

and then i made this heck said byeon
utak but
you'll see all this fine password or
whatever it's set to default so it's not
a real password finder is just this the
made-up program
that I don't know what it's used for
but
right click on it well actually this is
just an example
you probably don't have the file you
don't that's good right click on it
well I'm going to right-click on it
and
scroll through this
now the reason I'm showing you this even
though you don't have it
is because i'm showing you a real file
example . exe file example to change it
to show you what I talking about
ok so we're searching this because the

worried you can't normally do that like
you can't hide this stuff then what you
close it and open it it's right back to
