Lake County Indiana Sheriff Department was notified of a boat with the throttle stuck and a 5 year old stranded. The parents had been thrown off and the boat kept doing water donuts. Diver and Gary Firefighter Marty Butler repeatedly threw large diameter ropes into the boats path trying to bind the outboard. Eventually the boat slammed into a rock bank throwing the child across the boat. Marty quickly boarded the boat and rescued the child. Both parents and the child were reunited that day and suffered minor injuries. Video was taken by a Firefighter on the scene with his camera phone.
