everybody just as good here and this
tutorial I'm going to show you how to
add a halftone pattern effect to your
photos
so as you can see this is an example
I've made with this photo here and i'm
going to go ahead and recreate all the
steps and it's pretty simple
first thing you want to do is desaturate
your image so I'm going to use the
shortcut shift command you or you can
find the desaturate option under image
adjustments desaturate the next thing
you want to do is we introduce some
contrast into your photo
so go to image adjustments brightness /
contrast
I'm going to turn the brightness up a
bit and the contrast up fairly large
amount you can do this to your liking
all you want to do is create a strong
black and white contrast so depending on
your picture make you look something
like so next head over to filter
pixelate and select color halftone now I
recommend using a take so sighs of five
but you can probably get away with going
all the way up to about 15 5 is my
personal preference so experiment on
your own and for the screen angles set
all channels to 45 degrees
this will give you a nice smooth image
and once you've set that
go ahead and click ok and as you can see
your final have done that in is right
there
now if you want to add some color into
this image one thing you could do is go
to layer new layer and select your
gradient tool you can pick out or make a
gradient that you like i'm going to use
this default one here and go ahead and
start the gradient out however you like
20 blending one of that layer to
multiply and lower the opacity of it and
that
that's a nice tent of color if you
wanted or you could also use hard light
no lower the opacity pretty much
experiment however you like
you can also use hue/saturation if you
want but i think i like the original
black and white image of the best
so there's your final effect
