one of my favorite reasons for carrying
a smartphone is the availability to
quickly gather information whether i'm
looking at the movie time or looking up
a phone number for a restaurant or even
getting turn-by-turn directions to that
restaurant having quick access to that
information is key
I'm Jason Cipriani was seen at how to
and today we're going to show you the
latest version of Google Maps running
with a new labs feature called ball
buttons
this allows you to quickly access
information on the go let's take a look
all right we're going to take a look at
a new feature in google maps this was
released in the latest update google
maps for android called bubble buttons
what this does is it actually allows for
more information and to be to be
displayed on your screen allowing for
faster navigation or phone calls
here's the normal display when you're
looking at a venue in google maps to
enable bubble buttons tap on menu more
can tap on labs
scroll down and you'll see a new option
title bubble buttons put into a pond
that once you get to enabled alert hit
the back arrow will bring it up again
and as you can see we can now place a
call directly by place by tapping the
phone button or we can get directions
and launch straight into the google
navigation
tapping the navigation button a lot more
can be done in a lot less taps as you
just saw
by taking a few seconds to naval buttons
in the labs portion of google maps are
able to cut down on the time it takes
from searching the venue to actually
either getting directions are calling
