hello my name is fine
welcome you to be fine
today on our land hey we're going to
learn how to move an Oracle data into
microcycle seller i'm going to be
working with the HR schema in oracle
database an HR schema of your working
with employees table and we'll get a
collection of data from employees table
and move it into a table inside
Microsoft sequel server and within a
particular database inside Microsoft
sequel seller to achieve this object to
you need to paint oracle database in
micro celery in my system I have oracle
installed inside it to be precise on
using oracle 11g Express Edition and I
have microsoft SQL server training under
on each out to installed inside it
I'll also need the microsoft business
intelligence to do these really have
installed in my system so to get started
let me show you some of these two of you
here's my Microsoft's across our area to
hear the business intelligence
developments to you that i will be using
for this lent rail here is the Oracle
database 11g Express Edition that i will
also be using for this land trail i'll
have to start of my oracle 11g to start
that up it's quite easy as you can see
to hear to have you started all i have
to do you say that the cubbies
as you can see my oracle instance have
started up successfully so the first
part is done which is tighten up the
oracle database and that's not going to
do is to go into my microsoft sequel
server management studio and create a
database that will receive the data i'll
be moving from oracle into Microsoft
sequel server to do that i'll have to go
to start once again and from starts I'm
going to move to Microsoft's it with our
management's to you because they hear
what I do not want to take that shot so
i'm going to go into its location right
here that Microsoft sequel server and
get you
our simply without from a cosas cosas
training under an eight-hour to
management's to do to come up and then I
login to remind you the reason why I'm
going into the sequel server training
under 18 management's to you is to
create the database inside my advances
over there i'm going to create database
which will be called Oracle data
receiver that is what i'm going to do
ok
yeah
yeah
so as you can see that is the new
database window there so all i need to
do is enter the data building which I
have done and the next thing I have to
do is to click OK quite simple
there you have it oracle data receiver t
2 b's in Microsoft busa have been
created now that I have the database
created in my cathartic whatever i can
now close these management studio and
commence the creation of the project
now we can move ahead to the creation of
the project and the business
intelligence to you
to do that is easy simply involves two
drug drop set and run those four teens
so i'm going to call up my business
intelligence to do here you have
this is my business intelligence to do
that's features to be after the internal
donate so what I'm going to do some
simple with any project could do the
same with me because 5-2 click on
project
so at this moment the kind of project we
actually create integration services
perfect so intimate within the project
all you have to do is click on here and
see we are within the business
intelligence forget you move down to
integration services predict but
actually we integrate with Oracle which
what those articles our that's correct
so our simply names
oracle soul cycle you see that that's a
nice name right of named Dave record to
seek or seven as a project the next I'm
going to deal with simple sleek looking
i'll have these integration services
project created
great and I love my new project created
as you can see i have the Oracle to
secure several and at this point i can
move a step forward all i need to do now
is to create a better results that will
connect to the Oracle database and also
i'll have to create a connection manager
that will connect to make this article
silver i'm going to have to connection
managers 12 the oracle database and the
other one to make this article 7 without
difficult to do hunting so in fact this
entire project is not difficult to them
it's simple integration sense so how
we're going to go about doing this move
your mouse down to details
that's the sauce you right-click on it
that's it right there that is it and
then click on new data's this new data
source i'm going to do is we can next
within the wizard and want to create a
new one
i'm going to put in new data source
connection ok the escalation mind is
going to form is going to be used for
connecting to the Oracle database so i'm
going to pick it provider for an auto
Klein
this is our clients here you can see
that pic our client and then I'll people
okay
the next thing I'm going to do is define
myself in this case my oracle database
server which is the Express Edition is
inside my system now define each
location 27 thats Sarah that's their
that one right and when I use the
default account I've got here which is
self system and password i created for
it and I'm going to taste my collection
cool
so
i can click okay there you have it
it's selected there so i need to name it
so the next now do is to click Next
that's great I the name power cord
connection manager i'm going to go
through that and i'm down the first
