my name's Jonathan Ward and I'm in
automotive designer and
are you know what I'm anymore but run a
brand called icon
rooms
I thought it was time to piss off the
purists
so think basically been restoring cars
since before
I was old enough to have a driver's
license we draw inspiration
cars from the past but then we try and
infuse them with
safety and environmental and breathe new
life into classic designs
in the beginning I would do them and
only as they were done
when they were in you down to the
imperfections in the chalk marks
frankly overtime was kinda boring and
then I started thinking
white do we do that
in
High Point Golden Age transportations
everything on the vehicle was designed
with clarity of purpose and intent
any each design interview believe in
each model within each make within each
mark
stated an opinion in its design
and either define who is intended to be
driven by
were what it's intended uses work
clarity
the purpose an intense
and no focus groups no pencil pushers in
the design room
I try and drive the brand from my
perspective for better or worse
so there's continuity with the design
I think craftsmanship the manufacturing
where the very Nana said getting over
revival
this country is what it is
because a the risk-taking spirit
a are founding Americans to say hey
that's always been done that way but why
why not do it this way make it better
why not push this limit the idea that
we've been able to build icon
holding the line the quality the revival
of classical arts and transportation
handcrafted element in on that its rocks

traveling the world
an identifying specific leaders specific
communities
that they are ready no we're on the
right path understand the land in the
culture
people there's a gentleman in southern
Mexico
named a bell madeira Fernandes who is
part of a community that has been
struggling with the next government to
get support
for school infrastructure for the
students within this
Indian community because its Indian land
so it's not really federally-funded
for these kids have forgotten by the
wayside I feel really good at this
project that we've targeted
we'll be able to help a bell make a huge
