In this tutorial, I'll be showing you how to add a context menu dictionary search feature to any app on your Android device. This doesn't require root or any special permissions, so anybody can take advantage of this one. For more details, check out the link above.

hey wassup everybody its status with
gadget acts and today I'm going to show
you how to edit context menu dictionary
search to any app on Android
and cover to mod like this before but
that one required root the awesome thing
about this one on the other hand is that
it doesn't require any special
permissions like that so anybody can
take advantage of it
the app is called word snitch and it's
available on the Google Play Store for
free so searching by name to get it
installed then we'll see how it all
works now when you first launch word
snitch you'll be taken to the main menu
while the app is running it posts an
ongoing notification so that its service
isn't killed by androids memory
management system so anytime you see
this notification you're ready to go
there's also an automated feature that
will turn the service off and on when
you launch certain apps but I haven't
got that one to work so far
if you'd like to try it out tho into the
settings menu from here take the box
next to smart snitch then uses next menu
to take the boxes next to any apps that
you might use for reading in theory this
is supposed to automate the word stitch
service so that it turns itself off
until you watch one of these apps but
again I haven't had much luck with it
nonetheless with the word stitch service
running just open any app that has copy
and paste functionality from your long
press a word to highlight it
they have to copy button at the top of
the screen at this point works which
will automatically pop up with a
definition for this word and you can
even tap the globe icon to perform a
quick google search for this term so
it's a really handy dictionary service
it works with any app and the best part
is it doesn't require root but for the
