Key features
See keystrokes, passwords, websites and apps in one log
SpyAgent's keylogger records what users type, including app and web passwords. It also logs website visits and searches with the time spent on each page, and which applications ran and for how long.
Replay what happened with screenshots, webcam and audio
Screenshots are played back as a slideshow. SpyAgent can also capture webcam images and record microphone audio, and it logs social activity, emails and chat sessions.
Block websites, programs and chat clients
You can block sites by address, keyword or category (gaming, shopping, dating, adult content). You can also block programs, games and chat messengers. Lockdown scheduling locks the computer during hours you choose, and web filtering sensitivity is adjustable.
Get alerts and reports without sitting at the PC
SpyAgent sends instant alerts by email or text/SMS when unwanted activity happens. It delivers logs by email on a schedule or on demand. It also builds Top 10 reports for applications, websites, searches, files, chatters and active or idle users.
Stay hidden and protected
It runs in stealth mode with invisible program and log files. A password protects settings and logs, and logs can be encrypted. SpyAgent can also pause monitoring when the computer is idle, show an optional monitoring notice, and uninstall itself on a schedule you set.
Editions
- Standard Edition: installs in minutes with step-by-step setup.
- Stealth Edition: installs hands-free in under 10 seconds and starts monitoring right away.
- Remote Suite with SpyAnywhere Cloud: adds 12 months of real-time log viewing from a web browser.
Who it's for
Parents who want to know what their kids do on a family Windows PC will find it useful. So will small business owners checking how work computers are used, and anyone who shares a computer and wants to know who touched their files.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Very wide logging: keystrokes, web, apps, files, mouse clicks, screenshots, webcam and audio.
- Filtering and alerts are built in, so you can block as well as watch.
- One-time lifetime license, with free minor upgrades.
Cons
- Windows only. Mac and mobile monitoring needs a different Spytech product.
- Live viewing from anywhere needs the cloud service, which is included for 12 months in the Suite and is an add-on for the other editions.
- The full-featured setup comes at a higher price than the entry edition.
- It is stealth software. Check that monitoring is legal where you live, and tell the people you monitor where required.
