COM Port Stress Test

When creating an application that actively communicates with external devices through COM or RS232 ports, the developer must make sure that the ports will be able to handle any data flow without producing errors and locking up the system. This becomes especially important when it comes to surveillance and alarm systems, industrial controllers, medical solutions and other areas of application where data integrity and system stability are crucial factors. If you are puzzled by having to stress-test COM/RS232 ports and see no easy way to do that, make sure you don't miss COM Port Stress Test, as it does exactly what you need!

COM Port Stress Test is a compact and affordable tool for testing COM, RS232 and RS485 (with converter) ports that generates a stream of data with random communication settings. Stress testing places great emphasis on producing excessive load of varying intensity on communication ports, which guarantees that if testing is successful, the application will operate properly under normal circumstances. Developers and hardware engineers will appreciate the ability of this software to test communication ports (including virtual and USB serial ports) at their maximal bandwidth and simulate the harshest operational conditions possible by generating an extremely fast data stream with alternating baud rate, flow control, RTS and DTR states. Which is more, COM Port Stress Test is capable of working with two ports at the same time, so you can actually use it to test null-modem cables. Connection speed and the amount of data sent to the ports are shown in the program window.

The bottom line is quite simple - our software will help you push your communication ports to the limit. Knowing that your customers' systems are operating without errors or lock-ups is a great thing. Try COM Port Stress Test and rest assured that you've done everything to ensure the stability and rock-stable operation of your product under the most complex and conditions!
