This software can make it easy for you to switch between any kind of formats, such as MP3, WAV, WMA, MP4, M4A, MP2, VQF, APE, OGG, AAC and FLAC. This software also supports conversion between m4a to mp3. It supports ID3 tag, all ID3 tags in the original files will be reserved after the conversion. You can also do conversions with video formats including AVI, MPEG, WMV, ASF to all popular audio files. This software not only will provide you with superior quality conversion but will also do fast conversions. You can also choose from many options for greater output. This software is so easy to use that only a few clicks are enough.

With this software you can listen to superior quality music without worrying about formats.

Very easy to use and supports many formats

Pros: The software is quite good, the speed 's fast and it converts music with good quality. Almost all the common formats are included, that?s fine!

Cons: Wish there could be more beautiful interface options.

Summary: Generally it's very easy to use and supports many formats. The limitation of free trial is that you can only convert two files in one session and the register window will come out, but it?s quite understandable. After all I can get what I want from it.

Good selection of Encoders

"This is the best Audio format coverter/encoder ive found so far. Very similar to CDex in functionality. Though it never seems to crash, which is CDex's main problem. Good selection of Encoders and very straight forward options. Does its job and does it well. This is perfect if you just need a simple program to encode/reencode audio files."

A powerful audio conversion tool

Extract the audio tracks from AVI, XviD, DivX, MPEG, WMV and ASF video files and save them in MP3, MP4, M4A, WAV, WMA, MP2, VQF, APE, OGG, AAC, FLAC audio files with Xilisoft Audio Converter. You can also convert between MP3, WMA, WAV, MP4, M4A, OGG, MP2, VQF, APE, AAC and FLAC audio formats with high ripping speed. The nicely designed interface gives you quick access to application settings, turning file conversion into a quick and effective operation. Users are able to edit the output path or use the same one as the input path or delete the original files. When converting to MP3 you can select bit rate, VBR method and quality, stereo or mono, bitrate and output sample rate. When converting to WAV you can select compression method, sample rate, stereo or mono channels.

Pluses:The application supports batch conversion of files; you can copy ID3 tag between audio formats (reserve ID3 tag during conversion);

Drawbacks / flaws: The trial version allows only 2 files batch encoding at the time, so we cannot get an accurate image of batch converting; the Tools button is not valid in the trial version and the application crashed when trying to extract audio from AVI files.

In conclusion: A powerful audio conversion tool, but needs to be perfected

You may have noticed that Xilisoft got the exact same scores as ImTOO Audio Encoder. That’s because the two audio converter programs are exactly the same. Same functionality, same compatibility, same support, same price. The only reason that Xilisoft is a step below is because it doesn’t have an extra skin for the display like ImTOO does.

Xilisoft can convert the most important formats, like MP3, WMA, WAV and AAC, along with several others, 14 in all. You can control the channel, bit rate and sampling rate. Xilisoft is also capable of extracting audio from video files.

Summary:

If Xilisoft were able to convert more formats, rip CDs or offer better support, it would have made it higher in the rankings. As it is, it’s a good program but definitely not the best.
