52: Episode 14: How to Make Tiny Books for Jewelry, Magnets and Embellishments

welcome to this episode 52 today I
thought we do something super fun
and make these cute little books for
Halloween take a look at this cute
little dracula Burke do you love it look
at that it even has a little tiny pages
inside
for hard to say but they're there and
then there's the back
I made this by printing out the picture
I have
the vote dracula its 10 bucks at Uptown
and I really like it
my other favorite as Frankenstein here's
one that are printed so if you
have a book that you like go ahead and
make a copy of the cover
of you can find a photo of it prayed up
that's all I get is pretty the set on
white cardstock
and then I cut it out and then I made a
little book out
and then has taken a melting pot with
some
ok I'm holding it woodson UT ultra thick
embossing enamel
or UT as I sometimes say it I'm this
stuff is so cool echoed in my book
to make it usable for a bracelet or a
necklace or
you know even a carter scrapbook page
whatever you want to do you see that
thickness
pretty cool pretty cool well this is so
much fun and so
simple let me show you how to do it well
I made the Dracula but earlier so now I
make the Frankenstein fucked
you just gonna cut out your cover okay
so there's cover
so cute now I have to do is make The
Little Book
thats easy all I'm doing is using some
paper that I had on hand
these are just some ass crops in the one
that I did for Dracula I used
this condo denim working paper its black
biker black denim
was like a material on their first I
thought our want to use that but it
doesn't for the answer to my book I have
some printed paper that looks like
newspaper print that's really me
I'm you don't have to have this because
it's hard to even see
little pages inside the book get after
it dries
you can see little look at it and see
just you probably can't but I can see
just a few
the printed words in the book which is
really neat so
if you're a stickler for particulars
like that then you might wanna
print some paper out like this are you
know
find some if you have some in your stash
if not don't worry about it's not a big
deal
tissues white paper or whatever this is
just some left over from
you know what I cut off when I cut this
out okay so
let's build our book there is no
tried-and-true
must do it this way his way to do this
for my finger
career all I've did my first the Dracula

is decide how big I wanted my pages
actually had a bigger than a wanted and
I just been it over
not cut it down to the size I like so my
book was way too big to start cuz it was
like that I thought me
ever be a gigantic necklace for me so I
don't really want that
but that's okay again just cut it down
like you like it
so are heading to peace out
and I don't worry about being perfect
yet because
I'm gonna cut it out okay now I'm gonna
do is use my
ATG and me for stuff
out-of-the-way move stuff okay and then
just take the sock
museum in I think I've so far away okays

okay so I just put a little type on here
I don't even need for that much
it you don't need time because stay he
is gonna
hold it in place anyway so
I'm just gonna wind this up to about
where I wanna
trim it okay now look I know thats

as a crafter's best friend however our

so there we are a tiny little book with
tiny little pages so cute
now we're gonna buy it the easiest way
ever but dumping it into a pot

and stick in the pictures in there
I like this little project I think it's
ok you so much fun
you could do Christmas and any other
kind of holiday that you've got
or you know what do some other books and
things like your scrapbooks that you've
already made for your family
take a picture outside if you've got a
decorator centre inside pictures and
then just write them down
that would be so cool cuz then you could
use it on a keychain or
you know clip it to your purse or
wherever you wanted to do it's just cute
if you for a magnet on the back it's an
adorable magnet don't you think
I want to do that I think I missed a
command brownback at this one I totally

I don't know why I was thinking to make
a necklace don't know how long I have to
wear it

the stuff
but are you don't have to for the whole
ball and it's just really up to you
because you're gonna have to flip it
over and cover the other side you need a

and flip it over and get back in there
there may be another tool
but I just used a pair of my tweezers

a these I think I have a couple pair
these are kind of sacrifice for
different uses

after it was dry it was real simple so
you see they're pretty claim now

I am gonna put the cover on a wet heat

on a map especially because when we
finish with this for going to just drop
it right on the mat you would never want

and yesterday when I did I gotta
financial bubble something's coming up I
wondered if at do with the air
escaping from those pages I had inside

right but you know what we're not gonna

if you're using tweezers like this try
not to scratch your melting pot
so it's a careful person thing I want
them per session and this whole project
is being careful with but using the
the wrong tool and saw the melting pot
but I don't know what the right tool is
if they make some in the centre Teflon
coated or something that would be
awesome
I don't know that they have this I'm
okay we can decide if I want

you have a really bad lookin spot
that's okay just heated up again

hand and just held it down into the
well where the UT wasn't and worked out
great
okay I'm gonna take this out now
okay taking it out
and then I'm just gonna plop it down a
psych ward is out of the way
gonna pop down there okay I made another
but remember our data show you I think I
did some just kind of happened in there
and go through the same process in the
meantime
what we're doing is waiting for this one
to draw a alright well they're all cool
off now and I already feel this way up a
second ago
and you see what I was talking about
about how the you can stick to the sides

thought that Dracula just turned out
great
headlight one tiny speck on it I thought
wow just melt that offer whatever
oh my gosh then became a whole thing I
made it off on the front was all weird a
Happy Hearts on it
and had to keep working with it solar if
it is good enough
please stop because your drive yourself
crazy
like I did okay here's something really
fun
when you're finished with your melting
pot just pour all the UT out
just like that right onto your matter
member I'm using that
Matt well tough on Matt so
pour it all out like that and then once
it dries you can just put it away in a
plastic bag or something and then you
can melt again in the future
this is one of those rare products that
you can actually buy
can use over and over again I
love that saying there is all dry
moving around and now I can just put it
into a little back E
