compression to school to fit or squeeze

the reason why i prefer to copy the DVD
movie only and I guess the compression
ratio down to a little figure that I can
live with
now there's other things here that you
want to pay particular attention to for
example you may prefer to encode DTS
audio onto your DVD now DTS stands for
digital theater system and is similar to
dolby audio
except it has less compression now I
don't like to have a DTS encoded on to
my copy DVD for good reason of the
compression ratio jumped up a
thirty-eight percent so I'm going to
uncheck that it can sit back down to
thirty three percent again
I don't want any other languages in code
onto my DVD for example if I wanted
French in co down to the copy DVD knows
what happens to the compression ratio it
jumps up to thirty-six percent now this
is entirely up to you
I'm i will speak French and understand
French
so I'm going to uncheck that you might
want to have subtitles on to your movie
and we can check that it doesn't affect
your compression ratio at all right
moving on and menus again that cause
your compression ratio to jump
so in a nutshell the main thing that you
want to do is simply a do all you can to
get that compression ratio down because
you're going to find that your final
copy is going to be a pretty decent if
the compression ratio is a low figure
all right now once you've done that and
even started your DVD into your computer
go ahead and click the start button and
as you can see here one thing

now the DVD copying process is somewhat
of a misnomer because there are
basically three steps or three processes
in copying a DVD
the first step is called ripping ripping
is simply extracting the raw data from a
