Renaming Files Using Bulk Rename Utility

team our cable here and i'm going to go
ahead and show you how to use free your
windows-based utility called bulk rename
utility now this is very useful for if
you see here anymore time you're working
with a lot of photos even something like
a lot of documents are eo's club leaders
anytime you have a lot of photos or a
lot of files that you want to rename to
something similar and and have it done
in bulk rather than on a step-by-step
process until the i found is called bull
green and utility and you'll see you can
just google search and book rename
utility and we'll come up with the first
link which is a website that UK ok so
then you can pull that one up that
webpage and it's pretty simply just
click on the free download
ok ok pop-up save the file and then you
can install it that way now we'll go
ahead and leave that and say once you
get the program installed that's where
the magic starts to happen and you can
see here all these files like to rename
some sort of uva club and then numbers
for each consecutive file so i can go
ahead and control a to highlight them
all then right click and I can go ahead
and click full curry name here and we'll
open up the utility and allow me to
rename them in the software that we just
downloaded ok so you can see here a
couple things that I like to do with
photos particularly control in atl the
mere jpg is all in capital letters and
then for aesthetics I like to be a
lowercase so I change the extension
field here now numbering is what i
really want to add so here under the
numbering field i can add a suffix I can
separate it with a space but is hitting
the spacebar there and then you can see
it already starts to number 1 2 3 4
etcetera and then I like the pad them 23
there and so what that means is they're
all going to be three digits and the
ones we'll start with two leading zeros
okay and then we can go to the file and
that's what really comes in handy years
change the file name to you the
a club
fredericksburg
ok
ok august
$MONTH 2013 student send-off
ok so that's what I changes you can see
that name as previously was under the
new name as it will be for each file and
then click rename and they're finished
renaming 50 finals as it is
