hello jonquils here with another
Wirecast video tutorial today i'm going
to be showing you how to use desktop
presenter both some local machine
captured say skype call and also with a
remote machine that is on the same
network as yours in Syria could do this
over the internet that have not tried it
so maybe in the future for do try to
post a video so the first thing you're
going to want to do is open
wirecast it's a desktop presenter shop
is really easy you just click the little
computer screen and then click add new
desktop percentage shot now if you don't
have desktop percent to run in which is
this icon here on the Mac os10 then it
is going to say launcher
you can also download this through the
download sections of the telly stream
website seeking a windows and mac
version i don't know if the windows
version would run a linux of the wine if
someone tries up then they could post a
comment
it's not don't worry but it might
possibly work with linux as well that
way and that's our presenter is a really
small application and can be run off a
pendrive i believe so you couldn't we
just have like a very very small life
for mb file so you could have like an
eight megabytes pen drive which is you
know what are the smallest pendrives you
can find probably get them a promotional
stand and do these days people get a gig
one that cheap to make
if you do get one that you can put the
mac and the windows version on the
pendrive and then if you are doing this
as a job or if you just need to quickly
go and install on a computer because one
of you guessed doesn't have it is going
to be showing off webpages or going to
be showing off a piece of software then
definitely go and get it and installed
on the machine could even run it off the
pen drive anyway enough babbling on
about how to get desktop presenter here
you can see now I've got a desktop and a
screen cast recording this screencast so
here you can see in the live preview
window you can see my desktop and yeah
but I have a windows machine learning
just over to the left of me and I want
to be able to see that in my life
broadcast let's say I've got a skype
call going up and that's green oh that's
another computer that i use for web
browsing was
doing a show well it's actually really
easy to do we need to do is go to your
idea tab and then go to the new desktop
presenter option in the menu once you
click that you'll get a nice little URL
question box and I'll ask you for the
URL for desktop presenter now this is
the IP address of the Machine now if
you're on Windows then you can go to
start and then if you're on Windows
Vista search for it CMD or if you're on
Windows XP go to start and then run and
CMV or on any operating system rather
windows operating system you can do
windows are which will bring up the
wrong command and then type in CMD press
enter that will load up command problem
don't be scared of this it's okay you're
not gonna mess up the computer if you do
what I tell you and then type in the
words I p-card fig now obviously I can't
do it and when on my mac so you're just
going to have to type them but that's
exactly what you need to type then that
will show you what wireless networking
connected to accept cetera and in there
will be an IP address somewhere below
the bottom
well somewhere towards the bottom and in
fact want to upset this desktop
presenter show up i will show you how to
do on my windows computer which happens
to be running windows XP you're going to
need to know the IP address of the
Machine and I can actually remembers I'm
going to run IP think we see you can't
see we're running it and apparently I'm
not even connected to a wireless network
but apparently I am yes I am
there we go IP address when I 2016 a one
. 722 static IP address on our little
thing and you'll see right there the
windows machine has come up now
obviously now having desktop presenter
is named on everything you know that's
going to get kind of confusing she can
rename them so i'm going to call this
mac OS can call it mykko Stan i'm going
to call this when the
this XP example also add Malinga's vista
machine because i have two percent or
not go that you know any any machine
windows 7 machine so now that we can see
the nice windows XP machine on here you
can see I Ron the IT config command
which apparently isn't updating over
there on windows if you are running
destra presenter then you probably going
to want to run the combat 3d
compatibility mode which is this little
checkbox hair again updated that this
little checkbox because basically that
means that is going to keep capturing
the screen whether or not innocent
changes especially if you showing a
video off you're definitely going to
want to do that
so anyway you can see here around the IP
config command and then down here you
can see that gave me my IP address which
was 192 168 up one . 720 mouse cursor is
now and then that's all I incident and
the default port is 7-2 7-2 7-2 I think
the quote me on that once again but
windows will ask you to unblock support
and so we'll make our stand and just
click ok I know what it's doing
that's why desktop presenting these that
Paul open so you can communicate
community computers so that's how you
can do basic desktop presenter inside
Wirecast it is a really powerful feature
especially if on this netbook say i was
running skype which actually do have
which you can see just that I could have
a skype video call and hopefully when I
get fiber optic we will start having
guests through that if I had a little
window on my mac with facetime I can
have my friend Simon richly comment and
then we could have a three know three
cameras technically two of which would
be remote one of which will be in studio
band of my over-the-shoulder camera and
there we go we have a full-blown tech
setup
how cool would that be I've been John
