Welcome to another edition of Awesome Office Tutorials
Today, we're going to go over how to take a PowerPoint
presentation, and convert into a Flash movie.
This can all be done with some free software which can be gotten online
So, let's go ahead and go into Google here.
And I'm going to show you the name of the program. It's called iSpring.
And... let's go ahead and search for that.
And one of the first results that come up is iSpring free.
Let's go ahead and click on that.
And it's a free download. [Obviously.]
And let's save it.
ISAAC HAYES: So you wait, and you wait, and you wait and you wait...
ISAAC HAYES: And you wait, and you wait, and you wait...
Okay! So the download's done; let's go ahead and run the file.
"Do you want to run the file?"
Of course - that's why I downloaded it!
Okay, great. So "Welcome to the setup wizard..." NEXT!
Okay, sure. NEXT!
Hmm, I don't know what this says. Whatever - NEXT!
NEXT!
Yes...
Okay, and it's finished!
And we'll go ahead and open up PowerPoint now.
Alright, so we've got PowerPoint opened up.
Now I'm going to go ahead and open up a file.
I found this one online earlier.
It's called "Violence in Video Games."
This put together by some guy named John Baker.
We'll go over a couple of the slides here.
As you can see, it's asking if violence in
video games lead to violence in reality.
So it starts out by demonstrating that yes,
video games are violent...
And it continues by showing a graph of violent crimes...
...that are committed by people over the age of twelve.
And as you can see here, there is a downward
trend starting from about 2002 onto 2005.
The important thing is how can we take this PowerPoint file and convert it to a Flash movie, now that we've got the iSpring software installed?
So, as you can see, there is a new tab over here called iSpring free,
and the first thing you do is click "Publish".
Alright, I'm not going to bore you with all the details about what these various options mean because the default settings are perfect...
(For most situations.)
So let's just go ahead and hit "Publish" again!
And then as you can see, your web browser opens up,
with the new Flash file in it.
So, you can hit the play button, and it goes from one slide to the next.
