hello this is nick with nick's computer
fixed calm and here's a video on how to
personalize your Windows 10 by changing
your wallpaper and things and your Start
screen colors
ok let me show you three different ways
to get to this screen so you can
personalize your Windows 10
if you're on a tablet or a touch screen
you go up and touch settings and then
that opens up the settings window and
then you go ahead and touch
personalization
let me go ahead and close this another
way down a task bar you opened up the
Action Center and you click or touch all
settings and then you go ahead and touch
one personalization
all right let me close this now if
you're on a desktop or a laptop you can
right click on the desktop and click on
personalized and that immediately opens
up the personalization screen for you
and by default background is selected
now I can change this to colors or
picture and these are the default
pictures that come with windows 10 or i
can browse for one locally and choose
how it fits on the screen
I'm not just select one of the defaults
here click there and let's take a look
see how it looks
and there you go it's changed and I can
go here and click on colors
now this allows me to change the colors
of the start screen within Windows 10
and here's the preview by default is
blue and I click you can see that it is
blue
now i'm gonna go ahead and change it to
red and then
not in the preview its turn red and if i
click on the Start screen menu here it
has turned red also and throughout the
all apps the icon set change to red also
all right let me go ahead and put it
back to the default color of blue and as
you can see it has immediately turned
back to the default color for Windows 10
now over here on the lock screen
prior to being prompted for a password
you can change the default lock screen
to anything you like and also make it a
slideshow if you choose to as well
and of course you can browse for one on
your local computer now over here on
themes
let's go ahead and click on things here
these are the default things with
windows 10 and i actually added one
prior to this that you can change the
visuals and sounds on your computer and
down here there's the high contrast
things also if you want some other as
you click here on this link that takes
you out the Microsoft website and these
are free themes that will work with when
this 10
one microsoft and you can go down here
and choose the flavor a category that
you like i'm going to click on animals
and that brings up things on the right
hand side that i can download and
install on my Windows 10 and i'm gonna
click on the wildlife one here and
through the magic of video editing on
the download was completed quickly
it doesn't take too long normally and
click on open and that opens it up and
installs it within Windows 10
now that theme is available and i can
click on African wildlife here and go
ahead
close this out and the things should be
available on my desktop and it is i have
