deluxe video tutorial to begin we'll
show you how to use the easy wizard mode
it's the fastest way to capture video
from a VCR camcorder and burn it to DVD
next will demonstrate the advanced mode
where you can edit your video add titles
transitions and special effects and
finally we'll introduce you to the audio
recording capabilities of VHS to DVD
four-point-oh deluxe
first you'll want to follow the
instructions in the QuickStart guide to
install the VHS to DVD software and
video capture device
be sure to wait for the prompt before
connecting the capture device to your
computer using the included USB cable
from the main menu will select the easy
wizard mode it's great if you want to
get started quickly it burns a DVD from
a single videotape select the type of
disc you want to create standard DVD or
high definition blu-ray and insert a
blank disc into your drive then select
your video playback device we're using a
camcorder you might be using a VCR or
even a game console choose the type of
cable you're using to connect your video
playback device to the capture box and
use the diagram to help you connect all
the cables choose a recording time that
best matches the length of your
videotape begin playing your video and
click record when the recordings
complete the program will burn your
video to DVD or blu-ray disc for more
creative options select the Advanced
Mode from the main menu before recording
select your recording settings based on
the type of disc you're using and the
length of your video press play on your
VCR or camcorder and click the record
button to start recording run stop at
any time to halt the recording and a
clip will appear in the clip panel the
Edit screen of the advanced mode lets
you get creative
drag your video clip to the preview pane
to begin editing
drop clips into the storyboard to
assemble your video project
and then you can add titles
transitions between the clips and
special effects click Play to preview
your project
you can then merge and save your project
to save your project on your computer or
click the burn button to create a DVD
before burning your disk the burn screen
allows you to create a DVD menu you can
use the default options or you can
customize it with your choice of
background images themes fonts and
chapter menus you can even upload your
video to YouTube or converted to watch
on your ipod lastly we'll wrap up this
tutorial with a quick look at the audio
recorder
this is a great way to capture the
memories from your old vinyl records or
audio tapes connect your audio system to
the capture device box now here's a tip
you can't connect most turntables
directly so use the line out or
headphone jacks on your stereo listen to
a few samples of your audio so you can
set your volume levels just keep the
meters from going into the red begin
playback of your audio and click record
to start capturing the audio when you're
done you can burn the tracks to an audio
CD or play your WMA files on your
portable music player that's just an
