review a software called winx DVD ripper
platinum
basically it is a tool which helps you
back up your copy all dvds including
those encrypted DVD to your computer
supports almost every mainstream media
format like avi mov and mp4
so it is very easy for you to import and
watch them on your computer smartphone
or tablet
rather than tell you all about that let
me show you the software itself
so here is the DVD ripper you may notice
that there are three options on the top
menu you can load physical disk iso
image or dvd folder into the software
however i think most people would like
to rip their physical DVD only so now
let me show you how to rip your disk
first insert your DVD disc to your
computer and click the disc button
little window will pop up
select the DVD that you have if you only
have a single DVD Drive simply hit OK to
continue it will load in all the content
from the disk
after loading the disc and output
profile menu will pop up and here are
the media format it support
basically what you need to do is
selecting the format that you want you
can convert your DVD into avi mp4 or
clone it to an iso file if you want to
play the movie on your smartphone or
tablet you can choose your device on the
device profile menu and it will set the
format in the resolution that fits on
your devices automatically so you don't
have to worry about set format and
resolution of your devices for example I
wanted to watch the movie on my iphone 6
plus what I need to do is simply
selecting the profile of iphone 6 plus
in the Apple devices menu
now you can select the title that you
want on the list
you can change the subtitle or sound
channel right here
if you're not sure what the video is
simply preview it on the right column of
the window
so here is the movie from the disk
you can also capture the video right
here as you can see it is on my desktop
besides that you can crop or trim the
video using the build an editing tool
if you want to customize the quality of
audio and video simply hit the setting
button you can change anything from the
resolution aspect ratio to audio channel
if you want to have a faster speed of
conversion just turn on cpu code used to
make full use of the cpu you can turn on
use high quality engine to have a better
video and audio quality and everything
is ready click the big run button now
it's time for you to relax and wait
you see this window
hit OK and the movie is now copied to
your computer and it is ready to watch
in my opinion it is an excellent
software which has great output formats
and device profiles
it supports a lot of mainstream formats
and mobile devices on the other hand
it supports multiple languages users can
change the language depends on their
needs
also the video and audio quality are
quite amazing
the conversion speed is pretty fast the
user interface is really easy to use
even if you are not good at using a
computer you can rip their dvds with a
few buttons only which is pretty good
however the software only supports DVD
only so you can only backup your DVD vcd
is not available
if you got a bunch of V cds and you want
to back them up to your computer then
this is not suitable for you
also it doesn't have enough editing
tools
it's a shame that users can only edit
their video using some basic tools for
example crop volume adjustment and so on
I think they should add more features in
the future if you are interested in
backing up DVD or having an extra copy
of DVD
