In this video we will focus on two
components of the driver life cycle:
Stage and Install.
Search for existing HP Plug-and-Play

in the Windows driver store
and remove these staged HP UPD

Package driver files and code needed to
deploy the new driver.
Copy the packaged driver files to the
windows driver store.
Using Plug-and-Play,
install the USB connected printer.
Verify the correct driver was selected.
This video focuses on two HP PARK
Utilities
RemovePNPDrivers executable
This utility searches for HP
Plug-and-Play printer driver files in
the Windows driver store,
and provides an option to remove these
staged printer driver files.
Currently installed printers are
unaffected by this utility.
Note that only the default location for
stage driver files on Windows will be
searched for driver files.
HP Driver Deployment Utility DDU
The HP driver deployment utility is a
windows application that packages the
driver files,
and the code needed to deploy them,
into an executable and cab file.
These files are run on the client PC to
copy the driver files to the Windows
driver store.
RemovePNPDrivers executable
Removes only the selected HP printer
drivers from the Windows driver store.
Does not impact currently installed
drivers or print queues-installed
printers.
