today we're gonna be taking a look at
the video converting software called a
Mac X Video Converter Pro
and so this is for the Mac OS X only and
right now for a very very limited time

now we're gonna go ahead and download
this
I'm not gonna go through every single
feature that this program has
but there's a few here that I really
like
to use and so go ahead and open up this
program
and once you open that up his sis a
simple drag and drop into the
Applications folder
and we'll go ahead and start this
program up
and it's going to ask you for your
license key here is gonna go ahead and
paste and activate
and I the version that you're getting
for free
it'll be free for life on this version
4.0 .0
but future upgrades will be to get that
unless you
actually purchase the program which I
think right now is about 35 bucks
which still isn't a bad program
especially for
what it does and the first thing we're
going to
test out here is the video converting
software
a or feature and so let's say for
example we have some video here and you
want to you
are converted to be an acceptable format
for your mobile device
this is what this program is really good
for um
I have a couple video files here this is
a video file fun from the DSLR
and is from camcorder a recorded in a
ABC HD format
and this is an MTS file real funky can a
codec that doesn't really work on
arm a lotta devices or anything like
that and so
you just simply drag and drop the video
file here
and want to do that's gonna ask you now
okay we want to convert this file
into for what type of device right and
so there's a plethora
way bouncing stop okay so there's a
plethora of
devices here for you with presets that
you just pick
and so let's say for example I wanna
converted to iPhone 5
and you choose the model that you have
here
although I think anyone these it'll
probably work force despite
any other arm I A West device but
up you can choose a preset here and then
you have some options
over on the right here where has a low
quality in a high-quality
on basically if you choose a lower
quality it'll be a faster conversion
or features higher-quality it'll be a
slower conversion just a little bit
and also I'm pretty sure it also affects
the
file size: in the end so if you want to
try to conserve and save space in your
really
care too much about quality you can
lower the quality here
and that will allow you to fit more
files into your device right
%uh so that's pretty much the
from profiles for the Apple devices but
they got plenty of other ones here for
Android Android mobile
I'm gonna go ahead and do you a share
Google
mobile video for the Galaxy Nexus
break because that's what I have but if
you didn't happen that you could use a
general mobile
video for Android that a beacon
a compatible codec for it so
once you choose that you can still get
granular
with your settings by clicking on this

edit it easily right or bring it in

and so they have a preset here for Final
Cut Pro
so this is pretty good for those of you
who
are working in that space and the
for other Apple related Mac OS X related
software but there's also profiles
for general video and this is for like
for the computer
or specific use case say for example a
DVD profiler
HD video and they also have the web
standards here
on to convert video files to go be
uploaded into these
video streaming services here and social
networks
and an all-around general web video so
um
that's pretty much the settings or
profiles that you could have
and not seeing a I'm going to do you
another preset for this particularly if
I hear one for Android 14
home I'll SAS and that you can do a
little bit
editing wakey tram is not you know to
heavily
fancy pro editing software but to trim
things down add subtitles
watermarks crop and all that jazz
which is nice to have and then now we
have a use high quality engine I guess
that's a
kind of a to pass analyzing or really
looks at your video file in china

quality but smaller size I
is what the target usually is and then
you have the destination folders where
you want to go
and that you can also choose how many
course you want

particular program is that utilizes all

for those features now
onto the YouTube's right so we're gonna

by YouTube channel and I have tried this
with um other videos
particularly videos that
are like copyright protected or owned by
certain on media outlets or whatever
and %uh pretty much all you do is just
happy the URL up in the top here the
share URL doesn't really work too well
but this is fine is actually a lot
easier to do
and you copy that URL
and then you go ahead and click on that
link here
you can pace and analyze and what it's
doing is that it's going to YouTube in
its
checking out to see what codecs is
available to download
this isn't the converting part a bit yet
arm
but what he can do is download the video
file and send it to the converter so
that it converts it to an acceptable
format

that's already there is gonna pull the
file straight from you to you
and this is what's up coming from you
two day YouTube has available
are for playing the video the YouTube
video on
many different devices or whatever so
once you do that you can also add it to
the convert list if you want

on Download Now
and the speed of this depends on
wine YouTube servers how fast they can
send you the file
and two how fast your internet
connection is to download the file
and so it's doing a pretty decent job
here and you can load up multiple you
dont do one at a time I used it there
on you can load up multiple videos here
and just hit
run and it will download all of them um
and that's pretty much it for this %uh
particular program
for those of you out there who are on
the
Windows they do make the a Windows
program
that's very similar to this such as i
think is the same company
they're also given away the program for
Windows for free as well same deal
up until july twenty-fifth so for those
and you are on Mac
or Windows arm definitely give this
program a try
I think the Windows version also has the
ability to you
I download or rip DVD's
and also breaking corruptions maybe I
don't know for those be up there
