ok so today we're looking at a program
called duplicate files to leader now
this is a great program and helps you
clean up your pc and get away from all
those duplicate files makes the whole
thing run faster i have a problem along
with the music so here is for example 1
music file this is africa by toto great
song and now i'm going to go to the
program to get files to leader pull it
up here
alright so now basically how this works
is that you search a location so I'm
going to pull up desktop start searching
through there now i'm clicking the
button add force can and you can see
this is the items there's gonna be
scanned just on the desktop here so now
you can file mask put them file mass
down and specify what kind of file so
we're pulling up a music file right here
and because that's the one I'm looking
for but there's obviously other file
types that you can pull up for
duplicates as well so i'm going to
search and we got a little green bar
here that will show us how our progress
on our searches so i'm starting to scan
click start scan button and bam it's
already found something so here it shows
you the to duplicate files that were on
the desktop and also another file that
was the same thing but in a subsidiary
folder we can export the results to a
file will basically make us a little
text document that will show you the
path so you can put that wherever I'm
going to put right here in the music
file because that would show me where I
could find the music if I want to delete
it now i'm not going to save this
because i know that these two are on the
desktop already but if you had you know
several hundred or so you could
basically find them really quickly with
just the text document but there are a
variety of other options here so we're
going to do is go through and select the
other files and we're going to show you
how to move the files to a folder so
click the moves to file to folder button
and now i'm going to go through and go
to the music folder click on my music
and i'm going to move all the files
right here gonna ask me if I really want
to move files and yes I do now to show
you that all the files are moved
we're going to quickly scan through them
because obviously they're not showing up
here on the desktop anymore
we're gonna browse and go to the music
folder just to clarify that they're
there
now we scan and you see that they have
appeared right here where we want them
to now what we can do is we can either
rename them or delete them now shooting
the other options now we're gonna delete
these two because we don't need the
extra files so select those and they
deleted them now we're going to rename
the last one here
