Today we are going to be learning how to convert
audio or video files using the VLC media player
to convert files
conversion means changing/moving from one
format to another
so we launch/open the VLC media player
to convert audio and video files
You click on Media
You move down and you click on Convert/Save
or you press Ctrl + R
either you go to Media
You move down and you click on Convert/Save
or you press Ctrl + R on your keyboard
it is going to bring this out
or you come here
you click on Convert/Save
it is going to bring thesame thing out
first thing is to go to the add to add either
an audio or video file
so you click on add
so I am going to add this video
you can go to any location where your audio
or video file is
if its on your desktop, click on desktop
but mine is on my document, youtube
so I am going to click on this and open it
you have selected the file, so after you select
the file
you click on Convert/Save
this is the file I have selected, that is
the source file
so these are the format
you can convert it to
mp4, webm,ts,ts, ogg, ts
these are all the format, you can scroll and
see other formats
these are the format for audio files
oggm, mp3, mp3
these are the format for audio files
while these are the format for video files
so I am going to convert mine to webm
and to convert my video to webm, I am going
to click on this
so next is you choose where you want
that is destination, that is destination file
you choose where you want the converted file
to be saved
so I will browse and save mine on my desktop
click on Desktop
and click on, You are to type the file name
anyname you want to give the file
so I will just save mine as Latest
and I will click on save
then you click on start to start the conversion
so you click on start
and has easy as it is
it has completed the conversion
so this is the file
so when you right click and click on properties
it is now a webm file
and you can play it and do any other thing
with it
