The Studio Collection Artist Spotlight - Monique Maloney
"The Eternality designs were inspired by the girlie, organic and whimsical — probably from my fondness for the flowers, flourishes and repeating patterns that I see in daily life. Whether in textiles, nature or other artists' illustrations, the beauty in small details brightens my day."

I grew up in a house where my mom
went to art school in Boston,
as well as my aunt, and my uncle.
So I was constantly surrounded
by art my whole life.
And it was almost like I was being
groomed to go somewhere
or do something and
I always had a passion for it.
So there was never really
and doubt that that was a huge part of me.
And that's what I'd end up doing.
Things that inspire me are things that are
beautiful and exciting and just make me smile.
Thing I just want as a take-away from my art...
is just to bring people back to looking at
nature and looking at beautiful things...
and inspiring others the way others
inspire me. I want them to be like,
"Oh yeah I can go look at Monique's Design." And I'll just smile. And it's awesome.
But...
The driving force behind my design
is nature, flowers, trees
and just anything natural I like
to bring into my design. The organic
quality of nature...I just like to
represent it in my own way.
My designs have been on things like
brochures and billboards and it is very
localized, but this makes it my own style
being seen by so many people. It kind of just goes back to my driving force of wanting to make people happy.
And i think this is a great step to
getting to my ultimate goal of
of just reaching out to people,
and just...
really...
makings someone's day a little bit brighter.
I'm Monique Maloney and this is my studio.
