Hello and welcome back to the Concept Checkup.
The point of Concept Checkup is to dive into the Warframe forums,
look for a community-made Warframe concept,
and talk about it.
For the purpose of Concept Checkup,
I will use my custom-built evaluating method known as..
ASS.
Without further ado,
let's begin the Checkup.
For today's Checkup we have Myst, the Mist Warframe.
Myst was created by nulsu on the Warframe forums,
and functions as a supportive frame.
Myst has her own method of invulnerability like Limbo's Rift Plane,
but it's not as stressful.
Myst's passive is unknown, as Myst currently does not have a passive.
Myst's first ability is Phase Shift,
Myst dissolves into mist and blinks to the location she's targeting.
She is invulnerable during this period, and Myst's creator
has stated that this ability is meant to be used for movement and dodging.
With enough skill, I can see Phase Shift being a lifesaving
ability for Myst and her allies.
Myst's second ability is Vaporize,
Myst targets 3 enemies and vaporizes them, dividing their health
among all Warframes in her squad that are alive.
This ability seems useful for thinning out enemies and staying alive,
and could see great use in long missions such as Survival and Defense,
where enemies keep coming and health keeps dropping.
Myst's third ability is Soul Bind,
Soul Bind allows Myst to bind enemies together,
and all damage done to 1 unit is transferred to all units that are connected.
This reminds me of Trinity's Link ability,
but this seems to be the offensive version.
This ability seems very strong in its capability to take down crowds of enemies,
but it might be too strong,
depending on how many enemies it can connect to
and how much damage is transferred between units.
Myst's fourth ability is Fog of War,
Myst covers the map in mist, reducing enemies' eyesight
and worsening their accuracy.
While Fog of War is active, Myst is invisible to the enemy.
Her team, including herself, gain bonus movement speed.
However, in Fog of War, Myst will suffer from reduced accuracy and reduced primary weapon damage.
This ability seems like an interesting alternate version
of Excalibur's Radial Blind, but instead of blinding
enemies in a certain range, all enemies over a large area
suffer from reduced sight.
I can see Fog of War having a lot of usability in large-area
missions such as Defense,
and depending on how large Fog of War's range is,
it's possible that Myst could even make a decent stealth frame.
Judging by Myst's semi-supportiveness from Vaporize and Fog of War,
as well as her mobility from Phase Shift and
her crowd controlling from Soul Bind,
Myst seems to be a great pick as a supportive Warframe,
and if her Fog of War covers a large area that spans multiple tilesets,
she could potentially also be a stealth frame.
However, Nullifiers would probably counter Myst hard,
since they would nullify the sight debuff from her Fog of War
and if enemies are inside the nullify sphere,
Myst's Fog of War would be countered.
Nullifiers would also be completely immune to her Vaporize and Soul Bind.
If Nullifiers could be dispatched quickly in a mission,
Myst could earn her spot among squads.
With her Vaporize, Myst could really help the squishy frames stay alive,
and with her Soul Bind,
Myst would completely destroy the competition if she were paired with Nova's Molecular Prime.
Honestly, I'd like to know what the numbers behind
Myst's abilities are, because at the moment her abilities seem TOO strong.
With her description completed,
here are Myst's scores.
For my personal thoughts, I'm honestly curious about Myst.
The fact that she provides a mechanic that reminds me
of Limbo's Rift Plane grabs my attention,
but if her base Power Strength isn't stupidly high,
I'd totally play her.
Her mixture of supporting and stealth really intrigue me,
but to me Myst feels like one of those Warframes
that would be nerfed almost immediately after release,
like Mesa.
So that's Myst's Checkup.
Tune in next week where I will perform a Concept Checkup on Telum.
Thank you for watching.
